Very happy for you D.Oakes. I can be quite the cynic where relationships are concerned, but I'm also a hopeless romantic so it warms my heart to hear that you and your fiance are doing so well.
So am I. When we first agreed to date, we actually shook on it over a glass of absinthe. We decided to because it made rational sense. This is the first relationship I've ever had where disagreements are settled through discussion and not yelling matches.

My ex was raised to scream at the other person until someone cried. Things didn't work out between us.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

My fiance got done with therapy and called me....apparently she was misdiagnosed. She was basically diagnosed with something that carries with it severe psychosis and it was part of the reason she gave up custody of her daughter....it turns out it is not that at all and is in fact a mix of 2 treatable things. PTSD being one, I feel a lot better knowing that I know how to support her. Selfishly I must say it is nice to know I was right all along. Something just didn't sit right with the original diagnosis, simply put she is too sane even without meds. Now this means we need to work harder on getting the house ready because it's going to be a lot easier to get my future step-daughter back sooner.
My good sir, words cannot express how happy I am for you-and I wish you the BEST of luck in dealing with the Gestapo Social Services... I know from experience they are... Difficult, at best. So, best of luck, and I am quite happy for you! I've just seen the Hobbit trailer. If ever there were a film destined to smash various records for opening nights; that is it. It does look quite good (but then why shouldn't it?)! ~Longeye~
That trailer made me very happy as well. I had chills when the dwarves started singing. I cannot wait for the film to come out! Only a year away! Just watched it myself... I cried. I quite literally cried. It looks so VERY good. VERY VERY good. My loverly wife and I shall watch it opening night, and my FATHER and I shall carry on our tradition (started YEARS ago, when the FIRST LotR film came out) of going to see the movie at the 12:00 Noon playing New Year's Eve Day. That is, assuming the S does NOT HTF (fingers crossed-I'll let you all divine for what!), and "God is in His Heaven, and All is Right With the World," as it were.

She did it on her own with her parents, but signed an agreement....we are getting her Saturday now...I'm not sure for how long. The house needs serious overhauling and my fiance is going to be out tomorrow and the next.

The house needs serious overhauling and my fiance is going to be out tomorrow and the next. Good choice. And good luck on the house-we're in a 1947 build, and it's STILL in need of work... But it's PAID FOR (I mean, yeah, WE'RE still paying on it, but the DEED is in my parent's hands-no ties to the bank on THIS house! OR my brothers, for that matter-so in the event of a total sh*testorm, we're good!). Start at the top, and work your way down. And remember-take care of the LITTLE things, and the big things just sort of... take care of themselves? Wait, no, that's backwards... --- Ok, the watching of the Hobbit Trailer TOTALLY made me forget! ASSUMING my cheque hits tonight-I WILL HAVE A NEW BASS!!! YAY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Details! I demand details! Specs, pics, clips, a video review, all of it! Is planne-wait a second! I should totally do that with ALL my gear! Why? SPAM YOUTUBE WITH VIDEOS!!! THAT'S WHY! But yeah, specs are easy-it's a Washburn XB-100, comes with a Crate BX-15 Amp. I'm paying $50 for the pair. None too shabby. There's a picture of the exact same type/colour.

Not bad for $50. And yes, you totally need to do full reviews of all your gear. Because in all seriousness, I spend hours on youtube watching gear reviews. Every day.

And I thought I was the only one. THIS makes me happy-I'm not alone in the small world of being a gearhead. So this isn't really a thread jack. Talking about music gear makes me happy! SEE? ON TOPIC!!!

Oh, gear makes me VERY happy. One of these days I'll post pictures of my guitar teacher's pedal board. We call it Area 51. Its probably four or five feet long by two or two and a half feet wide. Covered in all sorts of boutique pedals. I'm incredibly jealous.

Practically completing my Airfix Prinz Eugen. Even if I do now have to struggle to find somewhere to put it. 'The fleet' now stands at - 4 aircraft carriers
- 3 battlecruisers
- 6 battleships (3 more planned)
- 3 heavy cruisers
- 4 light cruisers
- 1 anti-aircraft cruiser
- 1 cruiser-minelayer
- 8 destroyers
- 2 frigates
- 1 assault ship
- 1 U-boat
- 1 motor torpedo boat
No wonder I'm running out of room....

This is beyond bathtubs. I think I need, at the very least, a large ornamental lake. And that's just for my still-unfinished pond launch

Are Blackbirds usually singing at this time of year? There's one singing it's little throat out near me.
And I think I might have got all the preparations for Christmas done
And I might actually enjoy Christmas this year.

Got my (German) jobseekers allowance sorted, I am now officially registered as looking for a job in the UK and everyone was so super nice, I just can't get over it! (Visiting a German jobcentre is like that scene from
in comparison!) And: party at our house yesterday, got to meet lots of lovely new friends! Next party coming up in a few hours. The only question is: why didn't I move here sooner?

This is who has been making me happy everyday since 11:45 Sunday. congratulations!! that`s really adorable ^^ what made me happy is that I finally have an internship! No papers are signed or anything yet, but they told us (me and 3 classmates) that we are all hired. Finally the search for an internship is over! Trying not to cheer too much before it`s completely official, but oh god, I sure as hell do hope it`s actually done and sealed. As soon as I know more for absolutely sure, I might post more about it, since this internship is all kinds of awesome, but for now, this is enough =) What also made me happy is getting christmas cards and birthday/christmas presents from people. One of my housemates actually got me "the second book of general ignorance", which I think is totally awesome. I also had a christmas dinner with the teachers and japanese exchange students (as tutor, me and the other two tutors were also invited), which was loads of fun. And I convinced my brother that going to see Sherlock Holmes 2 with me on my birthday is a very good idea indeed. So yay, that`s going to be great as well. All in all a very, VERY good day!
