What about "slattern"? I don't think it (or "slatternly") gets used much anymore,

The  modern version, 'slut', is more often used these days but means the same..although many think it means a woman of loose morals it simply means a dirty or untidy woman. A woman could be a slut/slattern (ie live in a dirty unclean place and be of a dirty unkempt appearance) and still be virginal and chaste.
