Is the word limitation really that dramatic? I can understand it they're censoring curse words and racism, but is it more than that?
They don't censor anything, they just limit each post to 140 characters.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

I dont like having my whole online connected like a jigsaw people can put together , i think its more fun to have certain places unique to you , were you can be unique. As it happens I do have twitter ac too , but just use it for news or music - or posting odd things . Sometimes I have this running game with some folk , like the screw you here ,except it more of a catch the wabbit / road runner thing. 4o4

I like the 140 character limit. It forces me to be concise and choose exactly the appropriate word, something I was taught in journalism school but have often let slide in the intervening decades.
There are also some blindingly funny people on Twitter.

IIRC, it's 147 characters, but as I don't have personal experience, I may be in error...

They don't censor anything, they just limit each post to 140 characters. Not unless TSA are reading your tweets , and you happen to be travelling anytime soon . They have a poor grasp of British slang / humour ... 4o4

Yes, but I must admit it's mainly linked to my shop. Though originally I began it to link with my Reiki practice so you'll find me (The Navigatrix) under @Reikiblossom.
I find the character count quite challenging as I'm one of those people who never abbreviates texts. It does force you to consider what you are writing very carefully. It's quite a clever concept, really. You only get a brief turn on the soap box!

I sort of occasionally tweet (very rarely be warned) @09madasafish. But most of them are quite late at night and relatively irrelevant, so no different from most twitter accounts tbh.

I do find it interesting how I will occasionally get a new spam "follower" whose profile has a link to a site offering to match up "F--- Buddies". They disappear after a day or so, so I'm assuming they get reported to the Twitter spam cops.

I tweet, from time to time. The only issue is that I had to do a major purge of my twitter lists so I had time to write instead of checking the feed all of the time. It's nothing personal if I don't follow you back, I just haven't the time to read. I'm @AnthonyHJ on Twitter, by the way. I did try to tell a story via @mrLeyton once, but it didn't actually work out.

I've been tweeting off an on for maybe a year and a half. When I remember that I have a twitter account I might tweet a few times a week, but then I won't tweek for a week and forget all about it. Right now is a bit of an on time. If you'd like to follow me, be sure and say hi.

I do not understand the appeal of Twitter at all. However, I also do not understand the appeal of much of the current epochs 'social networks'
