« on: October 13, 2011, 04:03:42 pm »
So does anyone know anything about the steam punk groups in Colorado? I know they are ussualy at star fest but is there anything else going on in the area or is there any meet up groups as well that get together on a regular basis?

Global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of Pirates since the 1800s.

I am in Colorado (Denver) and while I am pretty much an anti-social old grump, I am in contact with, and supportive of, several local steampunks.

What aspects of steampunk do you enjoy, persue, prefer?

Currently I am enjoying the Visual aspect of steampunk. Although I am relativly new to the genre setting I am currently pursuing the written aspect. I am an aspiring writer and I am looking for local people into steampunk that I could possibly get together with and talk to about everything in the genre.

Is there any help you can offer?

MileHiCon is this coming weekend - it's more of a straight-up SF literary con, but still... There's a Bartitsu demo on Saturday, a Zombie Shooting Gallery, and a few other Steam-themed workshops scattered throughout the schedule, along with general literary workshops and some hands-on stuff (mask making, plastic armor) that could be useful for learning techniques that could be applied within a steampunk framework...

Looking forward to returning to Denver for Anomalycon.

Hope to meet many old and new friends again in March.
