(Posting in 'off-topic' since there's no attempt to be Steamy here)

A while ago I spent a day with my photo club, taking pictures of people in (often home-made) Victorian dress. While a few had some steampunk accents, the majority were not. I was very happy with the images I captured, and would like to share them with you all - I'd love to know what you think.

Sadly as it was a while ago I don't have many details of the outfits or creators to share - but I hope you enjoy the pictures.

The full set is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/markhood/sets/72157622185103162/

And my entire Flickr stream is here - for the curious: http://www.flickr.com/photos/markhood/

Images spoilered for bandwidth conservation.

And yes, I know historical accuracy might not be 100%, but I thought they were fun!

Very nice pics indeed.

Just goes to show that some of the time, the only perceptible differences between civvy style Victorian Gothic and Victorian Steampunk, are the choice of accessories and possibly colour palette.

Someone really should make this outfit btw, it's awesome.

Thanks everyone, for the kind words!

I just meant that some had brought along goggles, or tinted glasses, rings & things that weren't really 'Victorian' but made it look more steampunky - really it was mostly 'cyber-goth' stuff, but with the amazing outfits it made it look just slightly anachronistic...

Brilliant pics mahood,  you have captured the "guarded" sauciness of victorian photographs really well in your models poses and expressions. Very stylish.
