For those not knowing. It's a fanfic where the happy dippy member of the cast goes homicidal. All while maintaining that happy cheery dippy personality.

Bronies? Yeeesssss! I love bronies! Especially the chewy fudgie chocolattey ones... with the crushed nuts on top.... oh Sorry, I thought it was just a spellling variation. Just when I was going to ask if any of our Nederlander brethren could slip in the *special ingredient*, I realise somebody's already poured in a large load of *savoury mushrooms*.

Right firstly this is straying into downright offensive "say it once more and I reprt this thread" territory. Secondly, maybe you should do a little research before posting disgusting things like suggesting there is a sexual element to liking a cartoon, what the hell!? I watch My Little Pony because I have ALWAYS liked them, since I was a little girl in the 1980s. I make custom ponies, I have a pony tattoo, there are some sat on my desk right now as a I type (it's ok Fluttershy, don't cry!). I cannot understand why everyone is being a prick about this!
The only two people who have even "owned up" to liking ponies are me and Lady Ava, so think about all those horrific things you typed, then imagine saying they to our faces in the tone and manner in which you typed them?
You should all be ashamed, grow up and leave us alone.

Saying there's a sexual element to liking a cartoon certainly doesn't sound like a statement from a stable individual.
*likes ponies too*
The mane thing I'd be concerned about right now is more of such silly ideas coming from equine silly people. Cause honestly, ideas like those are bound to give you some proper night mares and eventually one of us will foal.
So please don't stirrup any trouble because it's bound to make people go off in a hoof.
And with these words being said, I best trot away from this.

The history of Bronies, I think I found it. http://www.cartoonbrew.com/ideas-commentary/the-end-of-the-creator-driven-era.htmlSo from what I can gather (correct me if I'm wrong) some guy posted this article on 4Chan. Others then checked out the 'Friendship Is Magic' cartoon and decided they liked it. Hence My Little Pony became a hit with a bunch of predominantly 18 to 25 males more normally associated with hacking scandals, attacks on Scientology and a myriad of other things there's really no need to go into. And the term 'Bronies' was born. Hmm, I can see how that could be irritating for the long term MLP fans. I really don't know the details of how it's acquired dubious connotations in some quarters. But as 4Chan seems to exist purely to debase everything in this world, that's hardly a suprise. (No offence to any 4Chan fans here btw, I'm sure there are useful and positive aspects about the place. It's just honest to God, I don't think there's enough mind bleach in the universe to allow one to trawl through those boards unscathed trying to find them.) Personally I wouldn't worry about it, any more than I'd worry about people assuming that just because I'm into Steampunk I must have a fetish for amputees or prosthetic limbs. I can assure you I don't, just as I'm sure a great many others don't (I'm still a big Lady Mechanika fan however). But mechanical replacement parts are a very common SP motif none the less. Someone could well reach the wrong conclusion about that sooner or later. The only MLP cartoon I've ever seen would've been back in the 80's. I think it was shown at some strange time in the morning, probably as schedule filler as I very much doubt there were any youngsters awake to watch it. I do remember being quite suprised at how good it was (I particularly remember a very funny sequence involving a couple of witches and something called...Floom was it?). Anyway yeah it was quite entertaining.

Personally other than the singing (which isn't their fault. I'm kindof musically aggrivated when it pops up in any show/cartoon that doesn't center explicitly around it) is the fact Luna hasn't been around Any. I mean end of the pilot she was told explicitly they were going to be co-rulers to kinda prevent her from going back off the deep end. Yet she's nowhere. Not even in the scenes involving the palace.
Which... kinda odds me out but supposedly we'll see her soon enough so maybe answers will be forthcoming.
Also. Please stop with the puns. We're not in a Piers Anthony book.
I think.

Hmm interesting, so are we going to plow into cars due to being distracted by laughing at this thread, or because we need to bleach our eyes and brains to get rid of the images therefore causing said mentioned car crash.

I HOPE it's due to laughter! If it's anything else, chances are this thread will be shut down quick, fast, and in a hurry. As far as brainbleaching goes, I'll save mine for more formidable foes than the ponies (I'm looking at YOU, 4chan!). Hell, I may even watch a few episodes with my daguther, and finally decide if I think they're cute or demonic!

Well I for one am going to have to check out 'Friendship Is Magic' now just to get up to speed, so I hope you're happy. I doubt it'll rival 'Invader Zim' though.

Doesn't match up to Sailor Moon, though. Ever since my daughter insisted I watch it, I've been humming the theme song in odd moments. FOR SEVEN YEARS.
