Actually Drugostrov that does look rather good. Grow the beard a bit more solid, and cut the hair to shoulder length would be my suggestion.

Ooh, dear me! That is quite dashing, M Drugstov!
I'm not so sure about how it looks in profile (maybe a little bit of a trim up the sides? I don't know... it doesn't seem to do your jawline justice, in that pic at least) but front-on I like it very, very much! It suits you rather well ^__^
Steamy? I don't see why not. Particularly with those spectacles!
(Oh, and I think I personally like your hair long like that.)

In lieu of real moustache wax, my young man tends to use my beeswax lip balm.
Well, either that, or a very stiff hold hair styling wax, like Kiwi Shine Wax (mine, too) -- but be warned, hair styling waxes tend to be highly perfumed.
Also, he points out from the background, play with it. Constantly. If you keep twisting and twizzling it the way you want it to go, it eventually "trains" (his word) it into shape.
Even without anything to hold it, his moustache-curls are pretty damn resilient, so I figure that must work...

My pleasure. The world needs more curled moustaches.
By the bye, may I ask whether this is to be a long-term thing, or just a "Movember" stunt?

ha ha, well my girlfriend would be rather dissapointed in me if I were to cut them off, and i tend to leave hair growing for quite some time so the answer to your question would be yes, yes they are staying for quite some time. Why is that do you ask?

Smashing! I ask out of the hope that you won't have canned the whole idea by the end of next month. As I said, the world needs more curled moustaches.

Thanks for the input. Might just keep it this way. It was supposed to turn into steamy sideburns, but hey! It's all good.

Nice to see you doing your bit for the world. I really want to get to the barber out at Morningside this week, so I'll certainly be asking for tips for caring for my face curls so I'll pass it on.

This bizarre October heatwave forced me to shave my usual autumn beard, but not before I had some photos taken while it was in suitable steampunk fashion:

I just trimed up my mass of facial hair yesterday in prep for halloween. I'm for sure going to be keeping the mustache and a point from under my chin, but so far I am undecided about the sideburns and jawline. It my stay, it may not. And sorry to those reading this that are fans of a curly 'stache, come halloween it's coming off, I can't stand having it. It's getting too annoying to keep. And also sorry for the large size.

I've been kissing a man with a curly mustache for over a year now and I must say it's quite marvelous. Waxing it up keeps all of the hair out of the way! It's really a great way to balance facial hair and good kissing.

I need to get myself some stronger wax, I'm just using dreadwax right now. It smells wonderful, is good for shaping, but it doesn't have much hold . I do think that I have some pure bees wax kicking aroud my work shop somewhere though. I'm definatly having the problem of it being in the way while kissing my lady, and it drives me bonkers. Not to mention it getting in drinks and food.
I have the problem of it growing way too fast. What you see there is about a month and a half of growth. The hair from the center of my mustache can almost reach the corner of my mouth. And what you see is without a full neck of hair, it's all above my jawline, and what all grows on my cheeks. It comes out from the center of my ear to just below my the middle of my in almost a square, but not quite solid at the top.

I just mixed up a batch of mustache wax, 1 part beeswax and 1 part vaseline/petroleum jelly as recommended here http://www.handlebarclub.co.uk/wax/diy.htm . i need to adjust the mix though towards more vaseline apparently as the wax set way to hard when it cooled. Novercalis- what on earth would you do to your eyebrows? i say if they havent grown out of control and you dont have a unibrow youre doing just fine. Darksmith- i vote for keeping the mustache, just get it tamed with a good wax.

without wax with wax I must confess I too am damnably envious. I've just trimmed my own face (for thanksgiving) after 2 months unshaven (prior to that I maintained a chin curtain), and regretably one still has to look fairly close to observe the mustachial growth.
