Dear Vienna,
Thank you for your kind commentary on the facial hair of my companion and I in the above photograph.
However, the beginning of the evening was the most embarresing. I stepped off the train (docklands light railway) at greenwich station, and who else stepped off but him! Thus - we arrived at the party together, wearing the same facial hair!
Terrible social debacle .... or sign of the times? You decide!
Kindest Regards
Chief Warrent Officer Phineas Parsons of Her Majesty's Royal Engineers

Although we are both rather inebriated in this shot - I feel I oughtta post it for the sake of posterity. This is my and my associate Log, drinking in Greenwich in London I've said it once and I'll say it again, those chops are amazing!

Hello All,
I just wanted to say that I'm very much enjoying the variety of mustaches & beards on the men of this forum. I like mustaches so much that I used to watch mustache competitions on German language TV. It was a treat to see some of the maestro mustache growers in person. This is just a lady appreciating the look of Steampunk gentlemen.
Vienna

Posting a pic of me for good measure. This picture is the epitaph for this beard since I'm adapting for stage tomorrow (bye bye beard). Also fooled around with the colours a bit, but I think you are smart enough to tell The sign behind me should of course be yellow and not purple. (Shaving isn't really a trauma though, it's just that I'm too lazy to bother normally.)

The most recent shot of my new(ish) facial hair. It's bushier than it looks in the photo, but is only a few weeks old, so just a youngin'. Not a great one of me, but it was more about the shirt.

Sadly they were sold out of shirts like that when I was in London Dungeon.
Has anyone ever seen pictures of Isaac Asimov? He had a fine pair of muttonchops.

I can assure you that I live in a most humid and hot climate (often mid 90's for both temperature (in Farenheint) and relative humitidy) and have for years sported a full beard with no ill effects:

I think beards are better for shielding against wind chill.
