I would post a picture of my own facial adornments, but I do not know how to post a photo directly here without placing it on another site first. Is that possible, or shall I have to find some other location for said image?

Use Photobucket, it's free and it creates the 'img' code for you. I got heckled today! White Van Man leaned out of his vehicle, parped on the horn, and yelled "Nice tache!" as he hooned by.

I'm not sure if it counts as a heckle. Sounds like praise. Course, you would know better then I. Edit: THE BEARD! The Banff Beard-Off continues! I'm kicking ass, by the by. I'm proud of the mustache though, because at this point I don't actually need to put anything in it to make it do that. Sorry for the darkness of the pic though... I'm sure there'll be another eventually.

Thank you both. I've grown rather fond of it myself. I've never had such a full beard - a longer goatee, often enough, but never the full thing. That pic actually showcases the two-tone nature of my facial hair quite nicely. I'd also like to mention that the mustache is actually even, I just have a lopsided smile...

I've never managed to grow a beard out to that bouyant and full of body(bodies). I have to admit, with that beard and your location this is the image that appeared instantly in my head.

The bear cavalry guys look Canadian too. Check out the snow, and the partial beaver totem pole. That's totally Canada. Yeah, we're badass.

OK. I decided just to use an older picture that has my beard featured in a way it can be seen. I tend to keep it trimmed close, and it is blond, so it might be a little hard to make out. I am the one to stage right (with long purple tipped hair), although my boyfriend also has a fine facial adornment as well.

I went to the bank recently, and the teller was an older gentleman with a fine handlebar moustache. He was also wearing a vest and a tie with the graphic of a dollar bill. I really liked his style.

Too kind, Dusza! I have to admit, I've been hit by my usual Beard ADD. When it finally gets to the point where it's good and full in one particular style, I get that big temptation to CHANGE it. *Sigh.*
I'm hopeless.

It's a natural need for change in my book. Of course I say that because I have recently given myself a rather drastic trim of my own... Such is life! DB

I'm sure there'll be another eventually. That is a truly outstanding beard, Mr. O'Byrne! Nicely formed mustache as well, and neatly kept. I am trying to convince Mr. S. to get to a barber to tame his beard a little, but he prefers it in its feral state. Perhaps viewing your photogravure will convince him.

I wouldn't be so sure. My beard really is rather feral - I may have combed it a tad and curled the mustache twixt my fingers, but I haven't trimmed it to length at all. Thats simply how long its grown, though the mustache had a bit of a head start.
'Sides, how can you even suggest that? Mr. Sullivan's beard has gone well beyond any barbers juristiction at this point. Lookit it! Seriously, go now and have a peek!

I'm letting my goatee and mustache grow. For some reason(probably genetics) the sides of my face doesn't grow very well at all.
