Hello, as you may be aware -my partner and I organised last years Waltz on the Wye Steampunk/NeoVictorian festival in Chepstow-which is on the England/Wales border.

We consider it to have been a success as the people who came gave positive feedback overall (only a couple of niggles but that's understandable for a 1st event). In fact the loveliest part was having people come up and thank you for organising it .

Anyway, Dingbat and I are still unsure about whether to do the same next May and would appreciate your opinions and candor,especially if it's to say 'no, i'm not interested'

Are people keen for another event of this type or would you rather save your money for The Asylum in September and/or smaller events?

Thanks

Rachel do you have dates in mind? Next year's calendar is already filling up and I'd like to block this weekend out if I can...
Thanks,

Dear Rachel.  I have responded in the affirmative to your survey.  I noticed however that I was forced to vote `yes' because there was not an option involving arboreal furry things with hugh teeth and the leader of a well known religion Roll Eyes.

Oh and how do I get the top hat icons to work?

Hurrah for you!

I'd be interested in coming, but my situation is such that at the moment, realistically, I cannot be certain of being able to attend. However, I will be quite cross if I don't manage to make it to the third one! 8-}

I'd love to attend, trade and help with anything I possibly can. I throughly enjoyed giving my talk and would happily do another on a different topic. Let me know if there is anything I can do Smiley

Probably WONT be staying in the same hotel though.

I agree.
The place we stayed was a perfectly pleasant hotel, it had a nice website, nice rooms, good food and in all other regards I couldn't fault the hotel.
(except for a mixup with the bill about whether breakfast was included).

But. The regulars and locals in the Bar were really quite unpleasant and offensive.

I wonder if some sort of lost of steam friendly hotels, B&Bs and hostelries in the area could be created.
Not just based on the welcoming nature of the hotel management, but based on the general attitude and ambiance of the establishment and locality.
