The Steampunk November Nocturne... just when you thought it was safe to go back to the canal, Birmingham plays host to not one, not two but FOUR steampunk bands, for an evening of unrivaled steampunkiness (for Birmingham)...

Visiting Birmingham direct from Whitechapel.... from another London, in another time...
Ghostfire
The Anglo-Germanic holistic steampunk hybrid that is ...
BB Black Dog
Delivering bostin’ steampunk from the heart of the Black Country...
Birthrite
Purveyors and Manufacturers of the finest quality auditory sculpture... (and my own personal faves, ahem)
Broadarrow Jack

Four bands... all for the princely sum of £5!

And there's more... your MC for the evening will be Dr Agamemnon When,
and there will be a variety of traders with shiny wares for your perusal....

Sunday 13th November
At the Roadhouse, Wharfside Leisure Complex, Stirchley, Birmingham, B30 3DZ (it has a car-park and is also easily accessible by train and bus)

And because we know it's a school day the next day, we promise to start early so you can get home before the owls get you.  First band on at 07:30, and venue will close at 11:30.

Tickets available now from http://www.theroadhouserocks.com/?q=node/129

Hope to see you there!

Don't forget to bring cash to spend at the stalls- a delightful selection of hand-crafted and vintage items of distinction.

Ooh, if it's TORM weekend, it might be the perfect way to round off your weekend, or to break your trip back to whereever you may be tripping from.
Although you don't have far to trip from TORM, Ms Needle!

Do we have to bring our own owls or are they provided?

Owls can be found outside or can be pre-booked by telephone from within the venue.

Possibly doable...

Having done a recce on the venue to see those Arrow chaps last month, there is a very nice curry restaurant close by that is well worth a visit to prior to the musical evening.

Which means, conversely, that barges on the canal are VERY easily accessible from the venue should you feel like a little piracy.  Grin

We look forward to seeing you, madame!
People will most likely dress quite steamily, but don't worry! It doesn't matter what you wear.

(You may also be able to adapt some charity shop purchases with a minimum of effort or expense, if you feel like it...)
