So, the link to the calendar at the top near profile and what-not. Is it a personal one, or one for the forum? If it's one for the forum, why are we not using it?
in a similar regard, why do we not have a calendar for events all round, so that people (even new users, in fact, especially new users) can see what's happening near them at a quick glance?

I have just posted an event in the calender for June 30th 2012. It prompts you to make a post in one of the existing boards, where full details can be given.

On posting the event is also entered into the calendar, with a link from there to the details posting.

Try looking at the calendar for June 30th 2012 and you'll see what I mean.

Well spotted - this looks like a really useful forum feature which is just not used. What a shame!

Feel free! The calendar was offline for quite a while because the old server couldn't handle it (it's kind of crappy software, frankly); but I think it should work just fine now.
