We're thinking of being in the Nottingham area next weekend so I just had a look at the Papplewick pumping station website - the 20th is not a steaming weekend so I was wondering if anyone knew the likelihood of it being open on Sunday 20th august since their website says
Sunday afternoons, static display- non steaming.
March 2011 to  October 2011 - 11am to approx. 2pm
(depending on volunteers being on site)

Its the "depending on volunteers" part that concerns me, although I would have though august would be the time of year when they're most likely to be open?

I would suspect it is very likely to be open on Sunday, but a quick phone call would seem a reasonable precaution just in case they are having issues with volunteer holidays.
