Shall we discuss something other than the wallpaper? I haven't a clue what, though...

Walks up to the bar after a 3-month journey, drops his battered hat on he bar and orders his 'usual'.
Well, we could discuss the matching carpet.... [ducks]

How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

I heard an amusing quip the other day... Who is the greatest chicken-killer in Shakespeare? Macbeth, because he did murder most foul.

*Produces a cigar and a bottle of gin*
This much is easy. Finding a clean glass in the establishment...that might take a bit longer.

Only that it's getting closer to the Weston front. Weston-Super-Mare seafront, that is.

*Blue haze forms in middle of room, a dark black hole appears at centre*
*Siliconous jumps dimensions*
*Portal closes with a loud POOF* *Siliconous appears clutching a dodo egg, a cigar and a bottle of Wylam Rocket bitter*
..... What the fu... Where the hell am I THIS time??
Ok, I was just standing in a rather abandoned pub called the watch tower, or clock ticket, or something like that - and the next thing I'm standing here. *swigs from bottle* ..... ......... So.... does anyone know anything about hatching Dodo eggs? Also, could somebody please pass me a light *places cigar in mouth*, anyone?

*Lifts a rather menacing piece of machinery, resembling a heavy caliber rifle, and pulls trigger. A blast of flame shoots across the room, lights the cigar, with only a few singed hairs.*
"There you are sir, since I ain't rightly certain 'bout hatching Dodo eggs I figured I'd pass you a light."

*draws on eyebrow to replace the now partly missing one* Ta very muchly. *puffs cigar*
Actually, that blast of heat seems to have done the trick with the egg too - it's twitching!
*places egg in hat, places on nearby table* I think it's going to hatch...

Absolutely fascinating, it's always interesting to watch a new creature emerge...
*casually leans his pump-action walking-cane along the bar, "accidentally" facing the egg, his thumb absent-mindedly thumbing back the hammer*
So, how long do these things take to pop?

Mister Strange, I'm going to have to ask you to refrain from readying arms in the Lounge. If you must do so indoors, do so in the Coatroom.

I have no idea how long this takes. But I assume a while - I found the egg under the parent bird, which had been dead such a long time it turned to dust!
This one seems pretty far along though, there is allready a crack forming!
*crack forms over top of egg, rupturing with a loud FARRRRT-like sound and a strong old eggy smell*
GAAAAAAGH!! *dons face mask*
*muffled sounds from talking with face mask on while gagging* *gives up, points at whiskey*

I wouldn't risk stew, looking at this thing I would be inclined to think it would taste.... salty... *notices a bird nest with eggs under a glass dome* "Ahh, that should do nicely..." *removes dome, grabs nest and dumps out eggs, then plonks chick down in nest* *chick looks up and opens mouth wide, making slight cheeping / squawking noise* Hmmm, I think it's hungry... *wanders over to book shelf in search of reference material* Let's see...." 101 Uses for Dodo Beaks"......" Romantic Dodo Husbandry?!?"...er, NO!..........Ah, " Farming Dodos for Fun and Profit!" - That'll do!! *grabs book and heads to seat to read up on raising Dodo chicks*

Well, it does look rather strange, but it doesn't seem to be doing much.
*eases his grip on the cane slightly*
So, where exactly did you find this egg?
