The London branch of Forbidden Planet have a rather nice window display proclaiming that they have 'a wonderful selection of Steampunk for the discerning customer':

Books, DVDs, comics and accessories; they seem to be onto us...

Hmmmm..that's no too far from where I work. Might pay them a visit and check out their wares. I haven't been to FP in a while.

I know 'Fairys Wear Boots' but.....

'Fairy' figurines  have been around a while and are often seen in 'New-age' type shops and fantasy stores...sticking a pair of goggles on one doesn't make it a 'steampunk fairy'..it makes it a fairy in goggles...

Spotted the FP display a few weeks ago when we attended a signing there by Tony Lee and Dan Boultwood.

Shame there doesn't appear to be a centralised 'steampunk' section within the store though... yes, all those displayed items are in the store, but scattered across it's various sections and so a right pain to find. That was 3 weeks ago... I'll pop by there during my regular Thursday lunchtime's foraging for the week's new comics and see if they've done anything new.

I noticed yesterday that Coventry's Forbidden Planet had a steampunk window display as well.

Saw the Southampton window today. Not realy that impressed to be honest.

Beyond the display (and there was less than in Herr Doktors photo), there was bugger all in the shop.
