Author Topic: NYC steampunk's travel guide?  (Read 855 times)
« on: June 30, 2011, 07:09:41 am »

OK, so here's the deal: My grandma will visit NYC for a week, from Sunday. All a very spontaneous thing, but I still need some things you should have seen that are off the beaten path. Also places to eat etc. - a little travel guide for a steampunk's grandmother with a damn good digital camera.

I know it's cheesy but the Top of the Rock (Rockafeller Center) is really worth going to. Great views. Empire State Building is another similar option.

The Met is amazing as is the redone MoMA. I've heard very good things about The Cloisters.

If she likes fish / oysters Aquagrill in Soho is great.

The tenement museum is supposed to be really interesting but I've never been there.

Safe travels to your grandmother, darlin. I wish I had more than that to say. All my jaunts in the city have been drunken and the expeditions led by locals 0_0
