Disclaimer: Like its about a religion, i let this thread to the judgement of the moderators. Also, sorry if the pun in the title can be offending, but i had to do it . Any steampunk wiccan out here ? I heard the word steampaganism coined once but what about wicca practitioners who are steampunkers ? How the live of a ''steampunk wizard'' look like ?

The Countess is a witch. This year will be the first time in about a decade we haven't attended the annual 'Witchfest' (witchcraft/wicca/paganism Convention) at Croydon.

I'm not a practicing Wiccan, per se, but Bird and I do indeed recognize and live much of what it is to be as such.

Any steampunk wiccan out here ?
The Lord of Misrule and I are pagans (I'm a bit more Celtic hedge-witch and he's a bit more Norse pagan, but we manage). We aren't "broadcast" pagans and don't usually mention it unless asked, but I think that's pretty typical...at least here in England.

Indeed! Yep, another Wiccan steampunk on the forum. I haven't mixed the two very much (no clockwork pentacles on my altar), but the thought has crossed my mind repeatedly....

i used to be a pagan ,but then i really thought about my life and after much meditation and looking at allt he evidence ,im now a philosophical agnostic ,i cannot prove that a god does not exist ,but nor can i prove that it does not ,and so i choose to take the side of scientific rationality ,but if you can prove it ,i am open to any theory ,except the below . if you read it ,you have no right to be offended ,you chose to open the spoiler and let yourself read it. creationism, all christianity bassed systems of belief.. dont kill me ,please ,and i dont mean to offfend ,at all

I am Pagan. My wife is a traditional, solitary witch. Neither of us follow Wicca although we know many. Each to thier own. 'An it harm none, do as thou wilt' is fine as far as it goes but I prefer 'Do what you will but harm none unless they really deserve it....or ask you nicely'.

I am not, myself, religious in any way, but know a fair number of pagans, get invited to their (non-initiates OK) celebrations, and have made various things for them. Apparently, the overlap between practicing pagans and people who can beat things out of metal is smaller than it might be, at least around here, so I kind of fill a gap as a pagan-friendly bespoke thing-maker for my friends.

I am a Wiccan as is my best friend. She's a bit more Gardnerian Wiccan, while I tend to identify more with the Dianic practitioners.

I do believe you will find more us us under the moon, despite what the Empire believes they call religion. After all those of us that are fighting to make the realms equal for us all would not be stuck in such a strict formality that The Empire claims.

I like that term.. steampaganism. Although it would be a bit misleading. I am pagan, but not wiccan. And while the two do meld here and there, I haven't really experimented with them in combination yet. (Fairly new to steampunk.) Though I'm beginning to get some ideas now.

Eclectic Agnostic Occultist is the best term I've found for myself so far.
I believe that there is some sort of Divine aspect to existence, and although I do know definitively know what that might be, I have a few theories synthesized from a wide variety of sources.
Everything from Judeo/Christian/Islamic theories (raised Presbyterian), to Wicca and other "Pagan" paths (I hate using the term "pagan" as it is too vague of a term for my tastes, but will suffice for now), to Taoism, Buddhism and other Eastern faiths, to Quantum Theories, Astronomy, Neuro-Psychology, and other Sciences, to Web comics, odd corners of the Internet and other peculiar places my searches for the puzzle pieces have lead me, to name a few.

Both myself and my Dearest Other Half are pagan (of the non-Wiccan variety) . To me, steampunk and my beliefs are both part of who I am and so marry together quite nicely (so well in fact that I hadn't really considered it until now!).

I am a laid-back, non-confrontational recovering Catholic myself. I had thought a couple who are very good friends of ours were Wiccan until I learned they are actually just Unitarian hippies instead. Colour me embarrassed.
