I have a perfect photo already. Just would need photog permission. Or, I have another photog who could take a different photo. So logging for consideration....

What is the waiver we have to sign?
The model release form is a standard waiver giving us legal right to use your likeness and the photographer's intellectual property (i.e., the picture itself) for the production of the calendar. It also is your legal declaration of being over the age of majority. This is to cover our asses copyright-, identity theft-, and child sexuality-wise. It only allows us to use those pictures submitted for the specific year's calendar. This means that even if someone who was in the 2010 calendar submits a photo we wind up using in the 2012 calendar, I'll still need a model release form from that person. The forms from the 2010 calendar only give us the right to use your photo for that specific calendar.

I'd like to register interest! His lordship is my photographer and would love to have his work published. Do we upload pics here or just email them?

Post #2 ofthe thread will always have the most current information on the project. Were not quite ready to accept photo-submissions, but we ought to be there very shortly.

Wonderful idea. I'll certainly buy one!
I have never modelled before but I'll try to submit a photo. I have a friend who is a model and just finished her degree in Photography. I'll ask her if she'd allow me to model for her, I'm sure she'll jump at a chance like this. Although of course when she hears about the project she may want to model herself instead. I'm sure that would be easier on everyone's eyeballs anyway!

Nope! You're not "in the know", so you don't know! Just kidding! (Ow! Ow! Stop hitting me! I'm sorry!) Yes, we'll post ordering information once the calendar is done. The system that worked last time was for people to send me an email or PM with their address and how many calendars wanted, and I sent out an invoice and PayPal account to which the money could be sent. Once the money was received, I mailed out the calendar order. I may try to set up a webpage with previews of the calendar this time around. Dunno.

If I land this job, I'll be submitting some photos (my wife will take)... Do not expect much... I'm... less than photogenic, but I'll do my best...

Sorry to take longer for that than I'd hoped, but the AC at my house died early last week and I only got it fixed today (I live in the southern US and temps have been hovering around 100F or nearly 38C for you metric types), and now my brother and his family are in town for the weekend. I'll have the form finished either this weekend or the first couple of days of next week. But please don't let that fact stop anyone from taking pretty pictures! Please feel free to take plenty of them! We just can't take the actual submissions until I have the form set up.

I was just curious, how long after the waivers are posted do we have to take/submit photos? Or will that also be added to post #2 when the time comes? I'm new to this concept, but very excited none the less.

I believe Abi & I decided on the end of September as the final deadline for submissions so that gives folks nearly 4 months to get their photos made and submitted.

Just as an update to the group: The artist release form is complete and waiting a bit of testing before posting. The form is set up as a PDF form with digital signature field. This form can be digitally filled out and emailed back to us, or can be printed and signed then faxed, scanned or snailmailed back to us. The testing is just to make sure the digital form works as I intend it to work. As some of you may recall, we had some problems with it last time around.
As to the 2011 calendar, I'm afraid neither Abi nor myself were involved in that one, so I'm not sure. It seemed to be going well and then dropped off the face of the board about the time it was supposed to be finished. If Nephthys is still active on the board (I believe it was she who was managing the project last year) you might message her about it.

So... out of completely innocent interest... will there be any lovely menfolk in this calendar, or are the models strictly of the Pinup Girl persuasion?
