Just finished these up. Great sound through the large horn. Battery powered speaker and clock. Lighted toggle. Box opens. Ipod can be inside or outside of the box. Toggle power switch on top. All brass construction. Ipod hides inside. All brass.

They're all brilliant but the first two are exceptionally good.

Thank you all. Fun to make the different designs. Obviously driven by the pieces I can find. Are you Brazing or Screwing/bolting the brass draw pulls ?
I use screws to hold the brass draw pulls. Sometimes the screws are welded on to the piece and sometimes I just drill a hole. Found out that brass draw pulls are not brass. Not exactly sure what the metal is, but I am unable to braze or weld them directly.

You have the same problem as I. I got 250+ brass and silver napkin holders on Ebay only to fin that they are coated. It seems to be some form of white metal, that just freaks out and eats itself if you apply heat. What amazes me is the amount of space that they take up if you heat them all the way, there is nothing left but some form of degraded hard gunk that looks like foam after you burn it.

Thank you sir.
Great day collecting. Got eight horns from an antique store for a song. Seven are trumpet bells and one from a much larger instrument, just the bell, but thats the main part I need.

Absolutely beautiful work, simply whimsical. Thinking either the wood box or the tea kettle shaped ones is my favorite, but they are all wonderful.

Thanks Owen. By the way, box is steel, not wood. I find making the boxes gives me a lot of design flexibility. Just putting the finishing touches on a new piece.
