It's going to be hard to get something that nice and tasteful in leather.

This vaguely reminds me of Internet Cybergoth oriented shops like Cryoflesh, Futurestate, Cyberdog, but even the best will not be nice like that without looking too "Matrix"...

With some different colours that could be a Star Trek coat.  Cheesy I also have to say your price tag will not give you that many options.

The jackets and coats on that website are awesome! thanks for sharing. However, i dont think my wife would like them. I'm trying to ease her into a calm, cyberpunk style without her knowing it Smiley

I'd recommend the coat selection at ASOS, I highly recommend them for quality and price, all the dresses and coats and things I've bought from them have lasted and still look good as new, they have a lot of military style coats at the moment and leather and wool mix coats as well, I set the colour to black and found something similar for under $200 pretty soon, their american site is

Oh and their packaging is quite obvious - so maybe go with work/family for delivery?

If you extend the waistline into a longer style and raise front to connect with the collar this might work:

http://www.roddenberry.com/star-trek-wardrobe-costumes/star-trek-uniforms-patterns-costumes/star-trek-starfleet-officer-duty-uniform-jacket-female.html

how are your sewing skills, or do you know somebody that could do it?

also look up the section 31 uniform varient:

all this star trek uniform talk has me remembering so of my favorite styles from the various series. but the ones that caught my attention today :

EDIT: Just found a link with some varients that in the images that look much closer to what you had originally: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Starfleet_uniform_%282350s-2370s%29#Captain.27s_variant

Now you just need to track down the pattern for any you like and then get somebody to make it if you can't sew yourself.

It's just that I'm a complete dope for cuteness....  Now that the weather has been changing (wildly oscillating between hot and cold) in Austin, I have have to say I always like the Winter look on women.  Wink  When Summer arrives I enjoy that too  Grin

Not 'old',but, hopefully, more mature since you are married.

WARNING:Mushy stuff ahead!

When I got married I felt more 'honored'/'lucky' to have met someone with whom I meshed so well with, with whom I could share all the aspects of life with-with all the security and honesty that there should be. At 17years later,I still feel the same.

Eeee, That’s sweet.

My wife is also the best thing that has ever happened to me. However, I always expected to get a sort of Goth/cyberpunk/artistic girl. Instead i got a sensible, responsible, loving girl who is sort of lacking in the fashion department. The only fashion she could possibly relate to would be high end names such as Henri Bendel and Vince Camuto. She has asked me before why I don’t get her the clothes that i would like to see her in, though I know she has no problem expressing when she doesn’t like something.
However, I feel that i can take the risk of her not liking this coat. Though I feel partially terrible about almost objectifying her this way, I must also admit that as an artist, I, like anyone else, enjoy being around beautiful sights. What could be more beautiful than my wife?

Anyone have any other suggestions for a futuristic coat?
