Hi Drew,
Please check your messages, or send me an email address so I can send the patterns for the stock.

 Cheers!

Just finished a new nerf mod for the shop, so thought I'd share it.
It'll be appearing in some promotional shots/video soon too, but not sure when yet.

Nice one - I love the way the stock came up!

Cheers!
I was worried about how this would all come together, but was pleasently surprised.
Much to my annoyance, after rewiring it I discovered I had a plastic wood-effect stock left over from something else that'd've fit perfectly! Go figure. I'll find a use for it yet!

In the mean time, Professor Bevel (Andrew) will be modelling this piece for me this Friday. So should look rather awesome!

be glad you didn't tear into that stock, the way the trigger and stock interact is really hard to work around, if you want the gun to still work.  the tommy 12 pistol is fairly easy to work with, you can just add any old stock or the auto 20, you can cut it off and use the flange left to hold in a wooded stock.

I cheated on the auto 20 and made the barrel part of the forward grip and put a fake skinny barrel over the top of the real barrel, came out pretty good.

Greetings!!

Being very, very new to the forum and genre here, only recently have I been exploring the designing and creation of various Steampunk gear and weaponry.

Although mostly created from preformed, plastic parts as opposed to full-metal, I am pleased with the results thus far and wanted to share them with others of like mind. Be gentle, since this is my first foray into the Aether with such couture styling wrapped up in weapons of discrete mayhem.

I welcome any comments, suggestions or improvements that I can make on my procedures and methodology.

Many thanks!

I believe that I should have used the FTP protocol instead of the IMG selection. However, it has been a very long time since I have added images or links to a forum post. The rust and corrosion had begun to take a foothold.  Cheesy

Confound it!(Pardon my outburst)

Something is amiss. No connection to the images.

Perhaps I should adjust the thompson rod or the hamdinger assembly!!

So many buttons and codes and not enough steam!! Cheesy

Perhaps a visit to Pirkleations DeviantArt Gallery will suffice for the nonce?

Hello,

I am not sure if this is the correct place for introductions but here goes.
My name is Dusty. I am fairly new to the Steampunk world having only been introduced to it for the first time this Oct. at the Texas Renaissance festival.
I was immediately hooked. I am a whip maker here in Texas and I can truly appreciate anything handmade.

I would like to compliment you all on the creativity and the craftsmanship of your works. I too have made a few Steampunk items and I would like to share some pictures of my first project.

No piece of this full scale six shooter originated from an actual gun real or toy. The revolving cylinder was an open face casting reel. The barrel came of an small brass cannon and the grips are layered latigo (leather).

Thank you for your time,
-Dusty

Wow. I am very much in awe!

On a side note, linking two guns I've shown before, here's a silly video made whilst we filmed something else:

It's just a wee joke with some of the stuff from the shop.
Be warned, one use of mild language!

Sweet! - Very nice job!!  I particularly like the use of the 'scissor' for the trigger - gives it a very Tranter look (my favourite victorian gunsmith).  If you are yet to patent that scissor-trigger on this side of the Tasman I may just have to 'borrow' it  Wink

And MCC, I love the scroll work below the scope on your nerf mod - nice touch!

On another matter - my long suffering and heavily pregnant wife just imposed a 'no guns in the bedroom' policy ahead of our impending arrival.

This was what she found tucked in various draws and cupboards and under the bed...

Fortunately she didn't open the box in my cupboard and discover the 30 unpolished rubber band guns  Wink

That's interesting, For years the Bedroom was the ONLY place I was allowed to keep stuff like that. From the day we brought my daughter home she went into her own crib in her own room. Mommy and Daddy's bedroom is strictly off limits.

Sweet!!  I was just looking at a trawling reel the other day and thinking how nicely it could work for a SP gun - nice to see it done so well!

Thanks to everyone for your compliments.

And to Dr. Madd - That is every impressive list of very odd guns. I really like the whip gun.
I recently finished a pair of Steampunked Australian style stock whips used for two handed multiple cracking routines.

Thanks again,

Haven't done one of these before, so for my first raygun I'll just be repainting one of these that I got today:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Weirdly the bullets don't actually coem with the little suction cups.
