I finished 'Flashman and The Redskins' on the train down to The Countess on Friday. Picked up a copy of 'Flashman at The Charge' on Saturday. Started it Sunday evening and I have one chapter to go. Another cracking read. Next I have 'The Secrets of The Lazarus Club' by Tony Pollard and then on with 'Flashman in the Great Game'

I read 'Minutes of the Lazarus Club' a few years ago and it was a pretty good read as I recall.  Not quite steampunk, more alternate Victorian, but not far off the mark either.

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

The workplace's library coughed up another Anne Rice (sp?) called Vittorio...it's short, so I may be able to see if I can finish one of AR's books...Wink The person who left them left about a dozen books by her, and I never realized how many of them I've never heard of.

Still boppin' through 'Flashman's Lady'...on ebook

Interview with a Vampire is still sitting on my shelf half-read from about 6 years ago.

Finished "The Call of Cthulhu", the scariest part is far more subtle than the monster. Not sure what to read next (again...). Still working on Empire of Broken Glass, and War of the Worlds which is so much better and unlike either movie that I'm left baffled at how they got so much so wrong.

I got a kindle for my birthday, which is now overflowing with steamy goodness.

Read 'Halcyon #1 - The Burning Sky' by Joseph Robert Lewis a while back and quite enjoyed it.

Recently reread 'Unnatural History' by Jonathan Green for the nth time.

Loved the 'Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences: Phoenix Rising' by Pip Ballatine and Tee Morris so much I immediately got the 'Janus Affair'.

I've also downloaded 'Steampunk Holmes: Legacy of the Nautilus'  http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/134422 which is pretty good so far.

After that, there's just 3 or 4 paperbacks to read too.

Bantam Classics complete collected Sherlock Holmes, volume 1. I don't have 2 yet...
Also scanning a mid 50s book, the Space Story Omnibus, in preparation to sell to someone who may have better means to preserve it.

(Also you guys won't look at me the same either, knowing that's my choice of reading!)

"Minutes of..." had some flaws so was re-written/re-edited and re-published as "Secrets of...", as I understand it. Good book, but took itself far more seriously than it should have done.

I've got Pandora somewhere... it's the one set in Antioch, isn't it?

I'm now reading The Bloody Red Baron.  I'm trying to drag out my Sherlock Holmes canon as long as I can, but I have only one novel and two compilations of short stories to go.

A break from the escapist after re-reading all of Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea books (they always leave me in a good place, mentally). Getting ready for art school with Art Critiques: A Guide by James Elkins. So far, its not as bad as I thought it would be. Artists of any kind and caliber out there, you may want to pick this up.

Attempting Jane Austen`s Sense and Sensibility, but considering how much difficulty I had getting through the first two chapters (really short chapters at that!) I think I`m going to switch it off with other books like Robin Hood and Treasure Island.

Maybe you'd prefer Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters?

Currently reading Cherie Priest's Clementine. Once I'm done with that I should be pretty well caught up until The Inexplicables comes out.

I've just finished reading Kady Cross'  The Steampunk Chronicles: The Strange Case of Finley Jayne, The Girl in the Steel Corset and The Girl in the Clockwork Collar. I enjoyed them very much. Now I'm looking for my next read. This thread is very helpful in that.
