darkshines, glad you liked.  I'm pretty sure that "Aurore," though, is the French form of the Latin "Aurora" – which literally means "dawn" and the name of the Roman goddess of the morning.  Perhaps there's a variety of rose named "Aurore" that you were thinking of?

Ah, I see where you're getting the "rose" from.  The Roman goddess Aurora is figuratively referred to in Latin poetry as "the rosy-fingered dawn."  Because rose is a color of sunrise.  But the Latin word aurora does literally mean "dawn; daybreak; morning."

Try "Dawn-light of the North" and "Dawn-light of the South" for the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis.
