I got the new corset and overskirt for my wedding outfit from the post office and wore it to work. Thew new bits are red and contrast nicely with the white chemise and petticoat.

I showed up with carnations for her, she showed up with lilies for me. I thought that was so cute.

Learning how to update my own website so I don't have to rely on someone else to make the changes.  Rather fun actually.

And the weather was glorious today.  Almost 60!

Planning something lovely for my 18th birthday. You brilliant people from the forum are also welcome to join in!

Essentially, I have asked for people to buy THEMSELVES that thing they have been looking at for a while. To just treat themselves.
The only catch is, that they must take a photo of themselves and the new object, and send me a little reason why they bought it, and a Happy Birthday message.
The idea is then I can keep these little tiny memories of my friends and family at their happiest, as that's all I really want for my birthday. Smiley

You may steal it all you want, if you promise to participate in mine!   Tongue

Also, because it's my 18th, everyone will buy me things I don't want or need. I will loose things when I move, and forget things when I go to Uni. If all the memories are in one place, I won't loose anyone. <3

I have just been made very happy by finding the CSI:NY episode with the time traveller is showing tonight. Stunning episode; the intro makes me chuckle every time, I can just see it as one of our chaps running through the streets clad only in a timetravelling hat...

Finally sorted out the veritable spaghetti of wires between my computer and stereo system, and downloaded Audacity: I can now convert vinyl to mp3 with relative ease!

Audacity rocks. I've used it to record and edit my own songs in the past, and I must say, it was much easier than I initially thought.

And on another note, my interview went extremely well. Woohoo!

Ahh ... supreme.  I intend to do the same once I find a suitable horizontal surface and a nice new cartridge for my TT.

Audacity sounds interesting.  I'll be using my DAW program for conversion (the mighty Traktion 2.x)

Got a preliminary okay from my tutor concerning my dissertation topic, pending further consideration, refinement and literature/information review.  Big relief as I honestly expected to get laughed out of the office at best.

Took delivery of some of the last of the items that I had stored at my parents.  Turns out the four albums by The Beatles that I have should pay for my accomodation, food and transport to the Asylum this year... this has made me very happy as I was begining to wonder where I'd get the money if work didn't pick up.

It also turns out there another 20 or 30 7" & 10" vinyls that should get me £5 a piece.

This means that once I get over my dislike of being a seller on eBay, I should have plenty of money to pump back into my Steampunk habit... Hurrah!

Edit: Seconds after posting, I find this album on ebay... I have it right here in the front of my record case... this is going to be a good Steampunk year for me Cheesy

Promise of a shopping trip at the end of the week, which means I can get a couple of nice button-down shirts for interviews and steampunk outfits.

Bought possibly the best jacket in the world ever. It is literally perfect.
It is even better that it cost me £6 and requires NO adaptation to cater for my ample top-half. Hooray!

Also, baby sister came home from nursery and wiggled so much Mither nearly dropped her. She was THAT excited to see me. Cheesy

Love GWAR to bits, seen them live twice, in the front row both times, came home soaked with stage blood (amongst other stage fluids).  In fact this
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
is a bottle of stage blood filled from a bloodpack that didn't burst during the London gig of the "Carnival Of Chaos" tour (1997).

...and yes, the value is pretty much the reason of selling, all it will do else is gather dust.  This way it can be used for more things that will make me happy Cheesy

My dad told me he might have a few interviews for me with a few companies he works with. One might be as an office manager. I just have to call him tomorrow morning to confirm dates and maybe meet a few people.

And I found out that Rammstein is playing a show here in May. I'm begging my best friend to grab tickets as I type. I'm soooooo excited.

Gizmo went for an MOT at the vets, he got a clean bill of health. He is the corect weight and everything else is peachy. We got a worming tablet just in case as he is an eating MACHINE but yeah, all good. He was terrified when we got there, making himself all flat on the table and I was worried, but as soon as we got back home he has eaten (including his tablet) and is now napping next to me Smiley

Just found out that we've had the biggest solar flare in four years on Monday, so that means awesome Northern Lights. Looks like you folks in the UK are in a great spot to see them. I'll probably be driving out of the city tonight to check them out myself. Haven't seen them in close to four years.
