[Dr. Madd]

"I'd be obliged." Madd whispered under his breath, " I do wish this Dangerfield fellow would realize that I'm only here because I got a letter requesting my presence here, something about the Amazon jungle. Otherwise, I'd still down in the Jungle, far from cities and certainly out of reach of the yankees."

[Augustus Longeye]

"Right, we'll get a lift up to Cairo and break you out there if that's okay. Play along with the imprisonment and we'll come out of this on top."

[Dr. Madd]

"I'm obliged. To be honest, my actions were no worse than soldiers using artillery or Gatling guns on advancing adversaries. I know people who lost everything due to Our good Dangerfield here and his bloody-handed commander."

[Augustus Longeye]

"In which case my good fellow keep a low profile and forgive whatever else I say or do. I'll tell the others on the way to Cairo and we'll get you out when we get there." With the Longeye grabbed Madd's arm a lot harsher than before and dragged him back to the captain, pushing him towards the guards who restrained him.
"Sorry captain, I had no idea what sort of unsavoury type we were travelling with. By all means take him, and let justice be served. I hope this won't change our deal, I assure you none of us had any idea of the things this man had done."

[Dr. Madd]

"You mentioned, Dangerfield- That my crocs ate some of your friends.. Might I now mention, sir that your army burned out of mine, left them to starve? Don't get all smug and self-righteous with me, you sanctimonious blue-bellied carpetbagging hypocrite- What you and your army did to my country was far worse than simply feeding some invading interlopers to the gators. Even if you kill me dead, I swear I'll come back and haunt you. I'll find you wherever you go, whatever you do, and you'll NEVER know peace again, do you understand me you scion of crop-eared puritans and witchburners?"

[Professor Griffiths]

Daingerfield laughed.

"We have made alot of mistakes in History, but we will be seen in the history books as Heroes. what will you be seen as? Never forget that it was WE who won. Now as for your attitude, be rest assured you'll pay Madd."

[Dr. Madd]

As Madd was disarmed- Khukri knife, blowgun and darts, boomerang, bolas, guanobombs- He glared holes through Dangerfield,

'For now, yank. The South will rise again, and then we'll see how damned smug you are. You haven't heard the last of me. Not in the least."

[Professor Griffiths]

"Take his snake too. And make sure you chain him. Legs and arms."

Daingerfield walked away angry, but smug. Madd would hang as soon as they got to the U.S. and Daingerfield was gonna ask to be the hangman.

[Dr. Madd]

Madd bagged Hannibal and turned him over to Longeye.

"He's like a son to me, captain.. I leave him in your care for now."

[Augustus Longeye]

"I will" Longeye said, taking the animal rather gingerly.
"Should we board everyone?" He said, then strode onto the ship.

[Dr. Madd]

Hours later, Dangerfield was met in the hall by one of the brig guards.

"That crazy jungle man you've locked up.. He won't let anyone sleep.. he's been singing "Dixie" all night really loud."

[Professor Griffiths]

Daingerfield sighed heavily.

"I'll take care of this."

He came into the brig and stopped in front of Madd's holding cell.

"So, you want to be a nuisance and keep people awake. what sort of thing do we nee dot do to cause you to be civil? now, I can't give you your pets, or any other such type of company."

[Dr. Madd]

Madd raised an eyebrow.
"Let's not be coy, Dangerfield... You plan on stretching my neck the moment we return to North America. I think considering you plan on killing me, the least you can do is tolerate my singing till you get your chance to silence me forever."

And began another verse.

Daingerfield smiled. He walked out and motioned to the nearest guard.

"He wakes someone else up. Tranq him."

[Dr. Madd]

Madd smiled. His plan was working.

[Augustus Longeye]

Longeye wandered the ship, noticing how different it was from British vessels. Without magic they had changed things to suit technology better, and added things like grounding plates to dispel magic used against them. He thought a few ideas were worth implementing, and then remembered that the 'Moth would be in flames about now.
He spent a great deal of time in the lounge, not doing anything other than staring out the windows as the plain desert gently drifted by. A few times he'd engaged the Captain in a talk, but they quickly ran out of topics, and he had work to do so would scuttle off after a little while.
From what Longeye could gather, Madd was annoying a large potion of the crew. He had no idea why, but obviously the man was up to something. Longeye was content to plan how he was going to break Madd out without killing everyone, or destroying the ship. It wasn't going well.

[Dr. Madd]

Madd looked around his cell.

"Hmmmmm" He scratched his mutton chops as he turned over his mattress and looked at the bed- it was one of those chained to the wall.

"Chained to the wall" He mused, and he smirked beneath his muttonchops.

[Professor Griffiths]

Balthazar walked out of his quarters and found Longeye in the lounge.

"Captain, tell me, could you answer a few questions I have. Now that the shock has worn off of your sudden arrival, I have some questions."

[Augustus Longeye]

"Certainly professor. I'm happy to answer anything, I've been here a while and I've got a while to go I'd imagine. It would be nice to break the tedium."

[Professor Griffiths]

"would you like something to drink, Captain?"

He walked to the cabinet and opened it up. He poured himseld a thing of wine.

"As for questions, Do you think this began in London?"

[Augustus Longeye]

"No thank you, I'll need a clear head. I have no idea where this started, I haven't heard many complaints about this sort of thing anywhere else, but from what I can tell London has had the highest volume of Events."

[Dr. Madd]

Looking about the room, Madd noticed pipes, and at the top of the wall, an air-duct.

"Typical Yankee hubris." He whispered to himself, as he looked behind him and stood on the bed, examining the air-duct.. it was too small for him to enter, but...

He noticed his dinner flatware.

"Hellooo, skeleton key." He nodded and pocketed the fork.

[Augustus Longeye]

Cairo came into view. It had risen over the horizon some time over the night, and now they were approaching fairly quickly. Longeye knew that if he wanted to get Madd out he would have to act fast. He told the rest of the group to go ahead without him, that way if he got caught it wouldn't get them into any trouble. That done he went down to the cell Madd was in.
There were two guards posted outside, both large and brutish.
"Gentlemen, do you mind if I have a word with our traitorous little friend here?" they look puzzled and nodded. Longeye strode up to the bars, and Madd came closer. When he was in reach Longeye grabbed him through the bars and shouted at him; "SO YOU THOUGHT TO TRICK US, EH?" then whispered "when I make a move the lock will fall open" then shouted "IT'S SCUM LIKE YOU THAT GIVE THE REST OF US A BAD NAME! I HOPE THEY DRAW YOUR HANGING OUT YOU FILTH".
One of the guards looked a bit nervous and stepped up, saying "Sir, he can't be hurt here. Could you set away."
Longeye nodded and let go, pushing Madd back into the cell. He dusted off his clothes and nodded at the guard, "Sorry my good man, I rather lost my composure there. How long until we reach Cairo?"
"About an hour sir."
"Thank you." They had one hour until Longeye would make his move.

[Dr. Madd]

Madd was a little astonished by Longeye's tirade, despite the fact that he expected it and knew what was going on, but he kept his cool. When The Captain made his move, he would bolt from the door and sneak into the armory, gather his weapons and gear and then to Longeye's cell for Hannibal.

[Professor Griffiths]

Balthazar had fallen silent and his mind had wondered. Before he realized it, Longeye had stood and left silently. He stood and strapped his leather satchel to his side, his revolvers, his sword. He made sure he enough ammo for his 1851 Colt Navy Revolver and his custom built revolver. His shotgun strapped to his back. He was going to disembark at Cairo and knew that he would need these things.

He left his room and met Daingerfield on the bridge.

"Land us just outside Cairo." Daingerfield agreed and soon Balthazar was down and found Longeye.

"Captain, I apologize for dozing off amidst conversation, it seems I was more tired than I realized. as for your British friends, perhaps you can get the Commander and his men to put their weapons in my Cabin so I can lock it up. no one will go in there without my permission, no matter what the instance."
