I don't know quite what to make of that. I think I shall begin by dousing my eyes with acid, then move on to dousing my body with petrol whilst playing with matches. And even then that, that monstrosity will haunt my eternal rest

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

What I find objectionable here is the 'politicisation' of the genre for the furthering of power games. At least, that is how I perceive it. I object to something I cherish being given a political meaning in an off-handed manner, and by/for somebody who knows slightly less than bugger-all about the culture.
Now that I may have kicked the hornets' nest, I may just duck and cover...

She IS a cartoon and DOES live in a fantasy world.
The offence this might cause is Palin (sorry) into insignificance considering what she does in the REAL world.
It's just a comic.

As I said in the comments to that abomination I actually feel a bit sorry for the writer. He was probably given a max page count, a deadline, and details that /HAD/ to be followed. Plus given he only had twelve pages to tell the story handed down from On High there was no chance at any sort of coherency much less readability.

Was going to hold off on posting this seeing as modern politics are a bit of a no-no here, but oh well, the cat is out of the bag
Seriously, this is the most random WTF steampunk-related thing I've seen in quite a while.

HA HA HA, did laugh so hard. No its a political attack, disguised as a comic to rediculusify the political characters, as if they didnt do a good enough job being "characters" before. But what i want to know is... Why is Abe clinging to the curtain, I mean he had no tome to grasp for it. so he must already be holding it as he is shot. According to this painting.
