Various guns clicked to life around him and began whirling around with spotlights searching the places the gins were aiming at. He sheepishly lowered his autocannon... He began to hear gunfire elsewhere. It must have been a small fleet of pirates. He wasn't overly worried though. Whatever they ended up facing in this country it would definitely be worse than pirates. The approaching ship was not their real enemy.

I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

Julius jumped at the cannon fire, before realising it was theirs. He wandered around the ship and watched in amazement as guns locked onto passing birds, dust, anything that could be perceived as moving. It was truly a formidable sight.

"Oh my goodness! Those people are being attacked!" The gentleman grabs a switch and pulls it, pouring on speed from the engines. His own cannons were now firing upon the enemy, all of which were controlled via a panel next to him

He saw another ship off in the distance that didn't seem to be setting a course for them. It was making it's way to the pirate vessels...

Fergus fought to get the guns trained on the larger ship. He managed to get the ship turned broadside-on toward the pirate vessel, and then, mainly by trial, error, and the total annihilation of a copse of oak trees below, the leewaerd side guns to stop firing, and the enemy-ward side pointing at and shooting only at what he had aimed at. "I could use a li'l help in here, controllin' tha guns an' whatnot!" he called out, just as the bow-ward three cannons went off, one of their rounds by sheer wild luck flying through an open gunport aboard the pirate vessel and starting a series of other explosions within, while the others impacted the vessel's envelope.

The gentleman continues to fire on the enemy ships, the forward cannons firing in rapid succession, the salvo tearing apart the deck of one of the ships "Ha! Take that you rusted out fools!"

Alex watched as their ship tore apart the pirate one "Impressive!" he called down, "but try not to completely destroy it, they may have supplies we need in the future!"

"I might be able to stop them..."
The ships were close enough together now. He built up some pressure behind him and made a leap of a good 20 metres to the other ship where he went about shocking the crew. With the men in the wrecked gondola pacified he worked quickly. He set the controls to force the ship downward (it was going to it the ground at some speed anyway) and sent a jolt through the metal of the control panel, frying the circuits and locking the controls. At that, he ran back out on to the deck where he performed a similar but thankfully shorter leap back to their ship. Once back aboard, he figured the rest of his energy should be focussed on giving them some more maneuverability as the enemy drew closer. "I count 7 ships. No, 6, some guy just shot another one down. We have an ally it seems."

"Lets try something new..." The gentleman pulls switches and presses toggles unrolling a huge cannon from the front of the ship "barrel out, boiler to pressure preparing to fire!" he hits a switch and an enormous ball fires from the cannon heading towards another ships envelope, just be fore it hits, it explodes sending smaller balls and shrapnel to shred the envelope "Yahoo got another one!"

When the firing started, Gebbert opened the nearest crate to him and grabbed a couple of items, stowing them in his pockets as he ran to the bridge.
"Do you need any help there, Fergus?" he called, surprised at not having to struggle to remember the name. "Everything seems to be going crazy."

"Aye, if ye can come here an' handle some o' thegunnery from the FC board, 'ere, That'd free me up tae pilot this thing a little better," Fergus replied as he struggled to dodge the Pirates' shots and keep the smaller Police Vesswel's guns firing effectively. BLAAMMM!
"Och, that was close, the bastards!" Fergus swore after the concussion from a bombburst rattled the windows of the gondola.

He stood on the deck as missiles flew toward them. He did his best to rob them of momentum as they approached but it was exhausting and many slipped through, which he was then forced to try and deflect somehow. At one stage, he shot a bolt at a missile only a few feet short of blasting them out of the sky. Their number was dwindling though and, thanks to both their efforts and those of the stranger, there were only 3 vessels left. It was then that a white flag went up. "surrender... They're surrendering! Haha!" he yelled in joy. He had almost nothing left in him. "pull up beside them. We could take their ships!"

"Man's got a point, Falko, " Fergus called toward aft. "Mayhap it'd be better ta call acrost wit' th' bull'orn, rather'n get close enough for 'em tae board us." He held up the Shouting Cone that had been stowed under the FC board.

"good point... We should get those vessels though. They're decently armed and safety n numbers is important." He turned and called out to the new gentleman. "sir, your name? And do you have any spare crew that could help fly these ships once we acquire them?"

As questionable as it was that the man refused to share his name he decided to trust him long enough for him to give them that information. He had, after all, helped them take down the pirate vessels that could have potentially stopped them well shor of San Francisco.
"Well for what it's worth, I'm Falko."

Luke had been dozing in one of the bunks bunk, trying to make up for the sleep he'd lost in the past few days when he heard the sound of cannon fire. He rushed out on deck just in time to see Falko jump over to one of the pirate airships and take control of it, and another ship that seemed to be on their side begin to take down other vessels from the small fleet.
There didn't seem to be much he could do at the moment, as his abilities weren't much use offensively the way most of the others' were. He watched the attack unfold through one of the forward portholes, bright as day to him and lit by the muzzle flashes of the guns on both sides, lighting the trailing smoke of the guns and one of the now-burning vessels from within with a fiery orange glow.
He noticed that Falko looked to be exhausted by the time the three remaining vessels surrendered, and more than that Luke could sense his aura from some distance away, almost like a second source of gravity trying to pull in surrounding aetheric energy. An idea occurred to him, and he quickly explained it to Ashima. Yes, it might work. Ashima thought back, though she sounded uncertain.
"Mind if I try something?" He asked Falko. "I think I might be able to do an energy transfer of sorts... might help a bit since your energy seems to be pretty low."

"please do. Low is an understatement" He really was exhausted and he still had to somehow commandeer 3 ships. Granted wouldn't be alone in that venture and it seemed the American man was clearing out one of the ships for them. He certainly wouldn't be piloting any of them in his state.

Luke focused on the same form of strength and power he had earlier that day, but now instead of allowing it to flow through his body he tried to concentrate it around his right hand. He decided to try and start with a low amount of energy at first, since neither he or Ashima were really sure how 'compatible' it might be to another person's aura, but when he put his hand near Falko's shoulder there was an almost physical shock like a spark jumping between them, and it pulled in the energy he had concentrated around his hand and some amount of energy that he hadn't.
"Sorry if that was a little sudden," Luke said, seeing Falko give a start. "I guess I'll need to work out how to control the transfer rate better."

The jolt was sudden but had no lasting pain. He felt somewhat rejuvenated. He was still tired though. He had something more in him though, enough to see him through to when he went to sleep. He turned to Luke and, in probably the most sincere manner he had ever managed, gave him a serious 'thank you' They approached one of the surrendered ships.

Julius eyed the other ships, they were sparsely crewed. What had looked like huge vessels had simple got what looked like sails protruding here and there, obviously to aid in speed. Not all of them had these sails, but the ones that didn't were further back, and had obviously taken longer to arrive. One of them slowly drifted in circles as the wing pulled it about, nobody at the wheel to hold it in place. Another drifted also, but Julius could see a silhouette of a person at the wheel. He was about to tell Fergus about it, but the shape flicked a few switches and some green spots appeared inside the cabin. They were bringing whatever weaponry they had to face the ship Julius was on, and it wouldn't be long before they fired. From this range it would cut the ship nearly in half. Without thinking, he moved the stone around his knees and let it push him off. For a moment he hung in the air, gently drifting over the gap between the two, and then he fell. He was going to come up short, he hadn't judged it properly, and with a dull thump he hit the side of the ship. It was excruciatingly painful, but with another thought his arms bent and propelled him over the edge of the ship. Once there he sprinted to the wheel and drew the sword Fergus had made, and ran the surprised looking man through without hesitation. He flipped all the switches down again, the lights doing dim and the ship powering down.
