I have some news.
This RP is now officially the largest outside of the Steam London games and is the 3rd largest overall!

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...
I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

in steampunk or out?
Most likely in Brass Goggles' Portrayal section. In all of steampunk? Hard to say. The Second Life Steampunk section(s) could be said to be a sort of gigantic ongoing RP, from what I've heard, and there are steamy RPGs elsewhere that rival Steam London for longevity (started earlier and are still running, or so I've read). And there are ongoing RPGs, both Science Fiction and otherwise, out there that predate BG by a decade and are still running (a few started on bulletin boards, accessed first by people on Commodore 64's, first-run PCs, Early Macs and Tandy/Radio Shack Color Computers using those clunky old 9700 baud - and slower - modems). Yeah, LOL, I'm kinda ancient .

being ancient is not a bad thing. Think of all the wisdom you have to offer.

Oh, I remember a great deal, I assure you. my mind's as sharp as can be, knock on wood! *KNOCK, KNOCK!* Come In! Seriously, though, Fergus is getting the COV fleet together. I was listening to the newer Star Wars soundtracks while I was writing that, so that's why it resembles a certain scene involving the clone warriors... *sings* I'm aaaall aaaalone, thats all we are...

I envisioned that same scene with all the clones... Would you believe the sound file was created by two women who then looped and layered it over and over again
I could have posted last night but I was in a bad mood, something to do with 20 hours worked and zero dollars earned.

No it's fine, you haven't been invoked in any recent plot. Slip back in whenever you feel happy doing so.

Where, exactly, is a courier from the military of what amounts to a whole other country in the context of this game, who has no more cash than whats left of her last paycall, after buying replacement ammo (there's no COV depot nearby), supposed to get rifles?

You only need two... And as you've said you're a military courier that means your military you can request weaponry from the garrison if it is required to carry out your duties Even if you can't find the rifles you could always just turn up and see what Mr Burns has planned

And as you've said you're a military courier that means your military you can request weaponry from the garrison if it is required to carry out your duties she's not actually a member of the New York, or even the US military, which in fact doesn't really exist any more, or at least not as it has before (she said she was from the COV, not the USA). She can't really just walk in and request arms from a garrison(or army) that she doesn't actually belong to. In fact, her main source of credibility comes from Fergus, and from Falko, because of their status as members of the 'Specials,' more than anything else (it was mainly Fergus who sent her on the warning mission).

Pardon the double post. The Allied Virginian Fleet is a plot development that was agreed upon 'way earlier. It does not, or is not intended to alter any previously-occurring storylines that have cropped up in teh interim anymore than such an event would normally affect things in RL. In othe rwords, a major impact on the storyline as a whole, but things like the shelter saga and Mr. Burns's business could just go along as before, with only as much variation as their creators wish. (I'm not the moderator or the GM, after all; Corsair is both of those things). And Here's Fergus in his "Monkey Suit" uniform...
