did anyone else think that the brass petticoat sounds somewhat like a steampunk gentlemens club, or am i just a pervert? by the way the art is awesome Yes, you are a pervert. I just dropped by this thread to pass on that affirmation, that's all, really.. ~shifty eyes~ The renderings are rather emotion provoking! I love the depth of field. DB

Ahahaha. Yes, it's sort of risque-sounding, in a Victorian-way isn't it?

Oh how rude of me! Dropping off a load of Victorianesque art and not saying 'hello.' For anyone wondering about Brass Petticoat, the steampunk comic idear. Still, nothing has happened with it. I've been playing around with ideas, concepts, but at the moment almost all of my creative energy has been put into the robot vaudeville act I'm in. I guess that's not terrible, but a steampunk comic would be great fun to work on. Instead there's the robot band: www.steampoweredgiraffe.com

I thought I'd drop in once again for an update. No, the comic idear never did take off. And ressurecting such an idea as Steampunk becomes more popular is just too cheesy for my tastes. Some might have heard of Steam Powered Giraffe, the steampunky robot band I'm in- and that ended up taking off and we've been hard at work on it for the past three years! I do draw our band's comic ( www.drunkduck.com/steam_powered_giraffe) which of course has steampunk influence, and I'm in the process of creating a new comic unrelated to SPG, though it's more of a gothicy Alice in Wonderland type story.

Could just be me, but your art has a very Tim Burton feel. Similar styling to Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride.

Not to rain on any parades, but shouldn't this be in Aural-Ocular? Awesome art, though.

Well, since it's art it seems to fit here. But being in Steam Powered Giraffe, I know the visuals and music I'm associated with belong in Aural-Ocular!

The bright flame of the Zeitgeist filling the halls with the clawing fettered fermentations of Camembert? FLEE THE CHEESE! Can't do everything. If a thing has many things doing it already, and you join the things doing that thing, then arguably; One is not innovating one is replicating. Giraffes eh? I shall have to take a view. Ooo tangy.
