Tempe...?  Good lord, I am having flashbacks...  I attended Marcos de Niza, class of 79.  I have gone back a few times but little of my childhood remains.

I'll be missing this meetup, as I'm really trying to stay on schedule illustrating the next book.

However, I'd be interested in meeting you folks... perhaps at a future meet?

Alright, the plan then is to meet at the George and Dragon in Tempe at 6. I don't know about the rest of you but I will be easy to spot as I am the only guy with long red hair, a goatee and goggles that I have seen.

So there has been a slight snag. My car randomly died last night. It is possible I will have it fixed by Saturday evening but I am not betting on it. I was not too worried about it because I had another friend who wanted to go and was willing to give me a ride but she can't make it now and the friend who is going has a tight schedule because she has to work so she can't give me a ride either (hence why we were going to do it at six rather then later). So I am going to have to put this off for the moment. Next Saturday, same time and place works for me as well as at least one of my friends.

Well let me know when you have a better idea of your plans. I am sorry this fell through at the last moment but one can not really plan for random car failure. I do have several people who can make it next Saturday though which is why I suggested it.

Resurrecting a two-year old post.

I wasn't sure whether or not creating a new thread for the same topic was necessary, so I settled with breathing some life back into this one.  I'm about as new to the Steampunk 'scene', genre, etc. as you can get.  I first caught interest with some subtle nods from Philip Pullman is his His Dark Materials trilogy.  That, combined with endless recent hours of soaking up e-information on the topic, has led me here.

I'm a Tucson local, entering my final year at the University of Arizona.  I'm mostly interested in the literature genre as well as the craftsman aspect for various forms of gadgetry.

How are the Tucsonan Steampunks fairing these days?

If anyone would be interested in meeting up to talk about fashion, metalworking, literature, etc. over a cup of coffee (or a pint of beer), I'd be more than happy to oblige.

I am X-Posting this to the New mexico thread.  I was wondering if anyone was going to attend the Discworld Convention in Phoenix in September.  I and my companions will be there and it would be smashing to meet up, even for just a short time.

I'm very interested in having a steampunk meet up sometime. I live in Scottsdale and im up to meet pretty much anywhere but friday nights and saturdays work best for me. I think it would be cool to get a group to meet up before the phoenix comicon in may.
Ambitious but rubbish.

Not sure if Jason Geck, our coordinator, has posted it here on BrassGoggles yet, but the AZ Steampunk Society now has a webpage:  www.steamaz.com
along with our Facebook page. Figured I'd post in a few topics related to AZ, cause that was the first thing I searched for upon coming on board.
