Hi there, kinda new here, and was just wondering if any one would like to share some steampunk wedding pics? Sorry, I'm sure this isn't the first time this post has been made here. >.<

Here's a few of my steampunkish wedding:

First things first, a very warm welcome to the forum. Pull up a chair and help yourself to a variety of fine teas.

And secondly, allow me to be the first to say that not only do you all look fabulous, but your hair (and that dress) is absolutely GORGEOUS.

I agree with Aeryenne, your dress is gorgeous, and everybody looks great in the group photo! Smiley
Although I haven't got any photos to share as of yet, DreamHazard and I are considering a steampunk wedding for when we get married next year ^^

Congratulations on the nuptials and may you have many long and wonderful years together.

Judging by the group shot you've got a wide selection of friends to draw on for support and all of you have excellent taste (except the due with the WW1 german helmet Wink)

Postscript: Added photo to Stumble. Hope you don't mind.

Welcome to the forum!

What a lovely dress and photos! I have always loved the look of very 'punk' hair with Victorian/historical clothes  Smiley

I don't have photos, but thought I better express my interst since I recently got engaged, and a large number of people immediately demanded that we have a steampunk wedding!!  Cheesy

Kudos to the guy in the leather jacket and picklehaub!! Not everyone would have the testicular fortitude to turn up at a wedding in an outfit like that..steampunk or not!

Oh..and congrats and all that!

You should point out WHERE and WHEN you got engaged to show the relevance of the demand.

Anyway, it was more of a several hundred person chant than a demand.

Thank you Mr. Troll.
Yes I actually got engaged at the ball at steampunk event The Asylum in Lincoln last month. As you can imagine there was quite a wave of excitment, and erm, a several hundred person chant of 'Steampunk Wedding!!!'  Smiley

Firstly Congrats Smiley

I got married on the 25th September 2010 and our themed wedding was amazing :3
We had it at the Manchester Museum of Science And Industry.  Ceremony in the station masters hall.  We then had the Rocket Steam Train.  Our meal was in the refurbed bit and then we partied away to some great steampunk classics in the great power house.

Not got a lot of photos at the moment but heres a few - Relatives really had no idea what was going on and they tried.  Friends really got into it though and it was amazing!

Me and my fiancée considered a steampunk wedding, but it was way to pricey, so we're going for a halloween theme instead. I'm so jealous of your dress, simply wonderful! Cheesy

My fiancée and I are having a steampunk wedding. Not too pricey - in fact it seems that it's far cheaper, as we're making our outfits and invitations, etc. The guests are really getting into it, telling us how much fun they're having putting together an outfit.

Sam, you'll definately have to post some of the wedding pictures once it's all said and done. If you get enough guests going all out it could be really fun!

Yea ours came to about £7,000 where as a friends 'traditional' wedding came to about £28,000.
Your invites are BEAUTIFUL!  Ill try and take a picture of ours.  We had Abney park lyrics on ours for She.

We have traveled this world for years
We have consoled each other's fears
We dried each other's tears
Yet always in doubt, and never in doubt

What lovely pictures! And congratulations to all the newlyweds and newly-engaged!

For cake inspiration, may I suggest the blog "Cake Wrecks" (in her "Sunday Sweets" section) for some lovely examples?
There are multiple entries, I have only linked to one.  Warning: Cake Wrecks can be a dangerous site that will consume many of your hours if you are not careful...

I'll ask around as we have had a few Steampunk weddings here at Kew Bridge Steam Museum.
