Beautiful work, and I love the inlay of whatever the device is sitting on in the first photo.

Wow, love the leather work on it, to echo the sentiments of others, how did you do that?

Very very nice indeed, and the photography is indeed excellent! Vignetting and softening, lovely. I'd very much like to post about your contraption when you have finished it, if you don't mind?

Ah, someone has finally found the Chronovisor! I knew it existed! Top notch work, and yes, a leather-working tutorial is an order!

Thank you all for your comments, I am glad you like it . In terms of finishing, well it probably is. Maybe a bit of a polish here and there and some minor adjustments. I will post some details on how it was made in the next day or so. Tinkergirl, It would be a privilege if you wanted to post about it.

After I recovered from an attack of envious lust, I noted that the skull is not one which features in my wife's collection. May I ask where you obtained it?

Very nice! I had to look twice..at first, I thought the "A" badge on the forehead of the skull was part of the design and the headband was a "track" of sorts. Now I see that it's one of those "Alchemy" skulls. Still...it gave me a neat idea. What's the actual lens? Is that from a camera? Does the outer lens focus it enough to see out of? Are those drill-stops I see? Very clever.
Keep up the good work, -~D~-

It's like an eyepatch and a monacle married and raised a nice child who got married to a spyglass and then raised this as their child in a friendly well-adjusted environment.
It looks fantastic!

I have just made the post on Brass Goggles about it, Mr Lait. I do hope you get a chance to post a little about the construction - we're all rather keen to hear about it.
