Dear People,

a small group are planning on visiting Maldon on Sunday 5 September with the express purpose of hunting Bunyips. The plan is simple arrive Sunday morning, ride steam train from Maldon to Castlemaine and return to Maldon, then explore Porcupine Village. The last Bunyip hunt at Walhalla uncovered a Bunyip foot print in a mine and we also found disturbing evidence of a cover-up involving the local Freemason hall.

So details
Steam Train
Maldon Depart 10.30 am
Muckleford Arrive 10.50 pm Depart 10.55 am
Castlemaine Arrive 11.15 am
Castlemaine Depart 11.45 am
Muckleford Arrive 12.05 pm Depart 12.10 am
Maldon Arrive 12.30 pm

Return trip $29 adult  or $26 if you have a concession (student etc)
Train info & cost etc is here

Link to Porcupine Village is here – as I mentioned usually the place is deserted so we’ll probably have it to ourselves to explore, take photos etc.

How did the hunt go? Did you catch anything other than a cold and soot?

I cancelled it Friday evening when I saw the weather warnings. We will try again and hope for better weather.

Best regards
