Haven't read the whole thread to see if it has been mentioned, but historically I believe there was a bondage rack of some sort that was named after a certain London madam who had it built and was called something like "Mrs Berkley's Horse"? Olive oil has also been used as a personal lubricant for quite some time. Got a new project! Expect a portable pedal driven circular to straight hysteria alleviation device some time soonish.
Also, I might be able to take a few photos of an actual steam powered device of the same type - or convince the maker of said device to join and post some.

The German guy who made one actually built a miniature steam engine to run it. |
