Someone was mentioning this in a previous thread, and I agree. Herbal Tea should have a better, steamier 'nickname". Any ideas?

The Department of Pedantry has sent me as an envoy to say: Since most herbal 'teas' have no tea in them anyhow, they are more properly labeled a tisane. Which you must admit already sounds quite a bit more technical then plain old herbal tea.  |

"Dr. T's Magical Birdnest Botanical Elixir" crafted from the finest curiosities gathered in the gardens of the Birdnest.
Actually - its a mix of Bee Balm, Lemon Balm, Orange Mint, Chocolate Mint, dried raspberries and violets.
quite a useful elixir to soothe the savaged stomach.

Got to agree with the Department of Pedantry. Tisane sounds just right. "Botanical Tisane" - sounds mysterious and interesting, even though it lacks alliteration. Definitely makes me think less of hippies in wintry climates than "herbal tea" does.
