I too, play an Iceman style instrument (Mine's an ICX-120, the "Iceman Lite," as it were-shoulder damage and all...). BEAUTIFUL bass... My MAIN bass (I have 4) is a Wine Red MiM Fender Precision (1998, modded with '61 Reissue Pickups, and a pearloid pickguard that has aged from white to antique-esq). I actually PREFER Fender basses to Ibanez-but that's just me. My GUITARS, on the other hand, 50% of my collection is Ibanez, the other two are a Vox Bulldog (1960s, I BELIEVE it's '63, but I've heard '66 as well), and a Lyon by Wash... Back on topic-I must NOT be derailed! (Any furthur disscussion of gear, feel free to PM me-I LOVE talking about what I play and why, and I REALLY LOVE hearing about other people's gear!) I get that alot about my gaze-most guys are intimidated, most girls... Well, it's mixed with them, actually. Some are scared, some QUITE the opposite. Depends on the lady! |

Ha, my bass is MiM also. Olympic white though, which over the past 7 years has just begun to age and look quite lovely. Stock pickups but I did just install a Babicz bridge.
And speaking of basses, the Eastwood EEB/EUB basses are just begging to be steampunked.
I'll PM you further details.
