Cath Hulu, that most certainly counts!

Lady Ava, very nice. Smiley

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

On the topic of "hoping a good picture will be taken" Do you all take your own pics?  Have friends do it?  Go to an event hoping they don't take one while you are blinking, thereby looking stoned/asleep/idiotic?  What?

Need ideas, please.  I'm not a photographer.  Any tips on looking decent in pictures?  Becoming comfortable in front of a camera?  Should this be a thread of it's own and not here?

Thanks,

P

A few tips for portraits

-Natural light is usually best if at all possible
-Pay attention to the background, even of you don't have much choice of background at least try to compose shots to avoid anything too distracting or the 'lam post growing out of someone's head' syndrome.
-It often helps to use a large aperture (small f-number) to put the background out of focus, emphasising the subject
-To take a good portrait you often need to take lots and lots of shots. Photography tends to freeze facial features in a way that look somewhat unnatural most of the time. Taking lots of shots will increase the chance that you get one at just the right moment and tends to encourage the model to relax a bit.

I'm a professional photographer and these are some great tips. Smiley

I haven't been around for a while now and I wasn't aware that the pinup thread had been restarted, but I'm happy to see that this lot hasn't been sitting idle.. Great pictures everyone!

Here's one for the mix, from a typography themed shoot that got a bit out of hand
