Where are the flames? or the fan?

All in good time, my friend. Rome wasn't burned in a day you know.
I actually bought the next larger size than the one illustrated. The one I was trying on perched too tightly on the top of my head, rather like an alarmed marmoset.
I am enjoying my new fez as it is (for now). It is stylish and has enough room in the crown to carry a full day's supply of lychee nuts. Later I may add a propellor and chinstrap, just like the Emir's Own Aerial Assassin Corps.

I look forward to seeing the elaborated fezzes.

In the fifteenth century women wore fezzes.

Why doesn't the tassel fall forward - is there some form of gravity we don't know about??

When I first got my Fez I was annoyed by the tassle constantly dangling in my eyes. I planned on trimming it but it was pointed out to me by Lady Elsie that a single stitch can keep the tassle  away from one's face. Perhaps that's what the chap in the poster has done. Although he also seems to have starched his tassle as well...(Ooh-er, Missus!)

I chose one with a stem instead of a tassel.

Well, it does say "where almost anything can happen" right on the poster.
