With all the photos of handsome, gorgeous steampunks, I feel like a kid in a candy shop sometimes...  Grin

Seconded! A lovely, steampunk candy shop...

I was playing with the timer on my camera thought I would share one of the results here.

The other shots can be found in the pin-up thread.

The radio unfortunately isn't working at the moment but I am in the process of fixing it. Though if it turns out the insides cant be saved I am considering replacing them with modern stereo equipment.

Excellent, my good man! Very well put together. The Solo belt is a nice touch.

Prof Masters,
Well set up shot. I think that using the classic radio as a veneer or case for modern receiving tech would be truly Steampunk with a capitol "S" Smiley

Came up with an idea for an old coat of mine.  The leather was wearing out too much where the buttons attached so sewing them on constantly was getting tiring.  After sitting in the closet for a few months, I decided to resurrect it with another system.  I took some photos tonight of all the possible looks that I could come up with for one coat.  Here are 2 of about 5.

Great pictures. Faintly unnerving though. Not sure I'd want to run into you in a dark alley dressed like that!

Glad you found a new lease of life for your coat!

this actually is my first proper attempt on a steampunk outfit.. (I know, no gears and goggles...but I didn't have the money for them xD)

Most people get hung up on the goggles and gears (both figuratively and, occasionally, literally). They really aren't necessary in the long run. Excellent job

Seconded. Goggles and gears (unless very tastefully done) would, in my opinion, ruin that outfit. It looks great just the way it is.

I agree too, that's a great outfit just the way it is.

oh that's great! thanks for the comments!

Does one not find it a trifle difficult to read the radio repair manual whilst wearing welding goggles?  Smiley

Your quartet looks like it had a terrific time, what was the occasion for this outing? Was there an event or just a weekly meet up?

That was at the 1st Surrey Steampunk Convivial (see this thread: http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,33851.50.html ) that Sir Cubinoid organised.
His rather impressive hat is not in the picture but can be seen here: http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,27773.msg765175.html#msg765175
