Why thank you, Mistress Magpie. You make me blush. The tights are from a tiny little specialty shop in Vancouver. My little crew of miscreants and I had a lovely time at the recent Victoria Steam Exposition.

This was my Steampunk coming-out at Necronomicon! My original outfit With my new corset, purchased at the convention. Hard to see in the picture, but it's a black-and-purple striped brocade, so pretty. You can see the dramatic difference between a plastic-boned Hot Topic corset and a proper steel-boned corset. The convention itself was a disappointment, so I didn't take many pictures, but I was surprised to get a lot of good comments on my original outfit...including on my last-minute purchased goggles with modified leather straps.

I found a bunch of old pictures from my yester years and decided to share them with you along with some not too old, not too recent pictures of me working in ye olde laboratory. Yes, this specimen will do nicely I'm frightfully sorry sir, I appear to have misplaced your head Galvanism Zydrate comes in a little glass vial And here comes some oldies! This was actually one of my first attempts at photoshopping something I am a scientist, but i dwelve in the science of the occult as well This I cooked up for my 19'th birthday Ah this one here is a true oldie. From back in 2008 if I recall correctly A worn book is rarely dusty Well, that's that I guess. Enjoy!

Why thank you sir! Can there even be a negative side of having a Johnny Depp look? I have heard this comment a few times now and I'm liking it every time

Well now, hasn't this thread picked up again! is it Christmas already? And everyone is so lovely and at times frightening in good ways.... And yes Semper Victoria I do see the difference. Lovely. Dr. Viktor, I am having the worst luck finding a brain to put in a jar, so I settled for a reanimated hand in a cage which will most likely be my date to the Halloween costume contest at the bar on Friday. (yes...I will take pictures before....after I may not be so photoworthy) I have a man-crush on Johnny Depp.

Good lord. I swear, I just looked away for a moment... well, it might have been two weeks or so... and suddenly, new pages full of marvels (lovely ladies, dashing gentlemen, sartorial splendour, miscellaneous awesomeness) appear! My latest small offering: a few friends and I are thinking of making a short film in a genre not unfamiliar to most of us, and late one night on impulse I quickly threw together a brief teaser for it, which featured... well, it featured me at a desk, mostly. or, in living colour, It's the sideburns that are the hardest to get right, really. Still working on those. And here's a proper photograph -- well, a digital photograph; a proper photograph involves rather more silver nitrate than I have to hand:

Compliments to your acting, the photographer, and whoever's idea it was.

The one I am holding was actually a really cheap rubber one from a joke shop. It came in a plastic jar and looked rather unrealistic and frankly quite ugly. It actually looks better on this photo than it did in real life So I filled it with murky yellow water and slapped some old fabric over the top to hide that atrocious red lid... And voila! I have a man-crush on Johnny Depp. Who doesn't!

I'm so proud. My very own Miss Carmen made the list of Top 10 Steampunk Halloween Pet Costumes at the Overbury Ink website! All the others are incredibly adorable as well. http://overburyink.com/?p=2736Love it. Does she seem to mind at all? Her face in the picture suggests not. Let's just say she's not impressed, but puts up with it. I don't make her wear her outfits for very long.

The 3rd one is my favorite...You've just found the most astonishing text. Alludes to hidden realms and how to traverse them. "Could this really be true?"

The Assemblage gathered together for a Ghost hunt in the historic neighborhood of Inglewood in our lovely city of Calgary. We had about 20 steampunks show up, and had a wonderful time! I had just come from work, where I have to dress up (life is soooo tough!) and so I am a Vampire Steampunk Pirate. My friend Jill came out too, this was her 3rd outing with the steampunk group! She is really starting to love it.

Well I unveilled my costume this year....Jack the Ripper, although since I went with an earlier coat, I'd accept Sweeney Todd as well: See, I'm a nice guy with a dark personality.... Or am I.... The knife is a wooden prop, essentially 2D with mostly handle and a small blade. I'm going to the bar, I don't really need to carry the real deal or a monster prop that is obviously plastic. At least this gives me the realism without being too real.
