For a change yes.
uploaded photos, wrote descriptions etc and finally opened a new Etsy shop. Also registered a new Twitter account.
Learned a new tune on the banjo (well I thought it was productive).

Productive today?  maybe a little.

BUT ... tomorrow I shall perform my civic duty and serve as the role of head bartender for the community brewfest.  There will be 45 taps of the finest that Montana, Washington and Idaho has to offer.

700 gallons of beer.  poor me.   Cool
An Uncle of mine worked in a Brewery. He drowned in one of those big vats of Beer. Apparently 3 other guys tried to rescue him, but he fought them off.

It must have been hard to watch him suffer. Seems he came out twice to pee

Somewhat productive and pretty damn impressive.

I have preparing the meat for a birthday cookout in the woods tomorrow. I'm mainly in charge of marinating stuff.
Yesterday, the person who's birthday it is, asked me if I would make marinade that I made at a LARP event in 2006. Apparently it was good enough for her to remember it as the highlight of that week, 6 years later. Naturally I said yes.
Here is the problem. I made that marinade once 6 years ago and I never measure anything when cooking. It was improvised from what I had and what I could find in the woods. To make matters worse, I never actually tasted the finished meat.

So today I have been trying to recreate it, based only on what I remember of the smell. And I'm pretty sure I managed to do it.

In my own (not so) humble opinion, that is pretty damn impressive  Smiley

I'm certainly impressed!

Made two coloring/puzzle books for my daughter and her half sister. They've got a long car ride ahead of them next week, and these should hopefully keep them occupied for a little while at least.

I've been slaving away over a hot embroidering machine.  Usually everything goes wrong - but today it was not too bad.  I am still not happy with how it functions, and the man in the shop seems to think that everything is my fault.  [Of course, the machine works OKish when it is in the shop.]

But today I managed to produce something that I do not mind showing to other people.

Today I have absolutely no intention of doing anything productive until 5 pm when I go to bodypump.

Yesterday however I was very productive indeed, and went to a one day taxidermy workshop. In honour of the Olympics , I present to you....

I have wired up a guitar. Now I just need to level the frets* a little better and make the back cavity cover and it is done.

*specifically the tenth fret, as that is the only fret which is causing buzz. The rest seem ok.

Made a second "thing in a jar", dusted and began reorganizing my bookshelves, dragged my old dead microwave out to the dumpster, and cleaned the microwave stand in the kitchen to get ready for the new one which gets delivered today.

Most folk thought that the Northern Lights were especially bright on the eve of his internment ... truth be told, the flames from the funeral fire were bright enough to be seen in the southern hemisphere.

 Wink

Actually, it was quite a fun event.  Even though I was in the midst of all that fine brew, I only managed to down half a glass of Barleywine and a pretty good Oatmeal Stout (and several shots of assorted IPA's).  Final count - 45 full kegs, 15 small kegs.

b.t.w. ... the Barleywine was excellent after I let it set for 30 minutes or so to warm up - and the local Northwest Pale was extraordinary.

Hit a brick wall on ideas for part of one project (who'da thunk a monsters feet can be so annoying!) so switched to another critter for the same project - Productive goldmine!

Spent half the day bashing out an old concept, then a large part of the night when I shouild have been sleeping spent curled up in bed with a sketchpad working out how to make it even better! Very productive, I'm happy with that!

Had a flash of inspiration last night over the Cultist concept I've been working on, now he's gone from Vernian aquanaut to squidy Vernian aquanaut!

He looks much better with the added/modified breathing apparatus, plus it brings him one step closer to the Sleeper visually!

Second gun of a three handgun build almost complete—just the trigger guard and grips to do now. First gun was a five-barrelled projectile thrower, this one is a directed energy weapon. I probably won't have time to finish it off tomorrow, but Sunday afternoon should see it ready for action.

I booked my ticket and hotel room for Hallowsteam in Birmingham in October, then bought a Cambrian Models 6-ton breakdown crane kit.  Other than that, no.  Though I may do some work on one of my locomotives later.

Made another Sculpey Elder Sign, and found out just how badly out of practice I am at painting. It's been seven or eitght years since I've done anything with a brush, but it should come back to me fairly quick.
