I put a bid on a gas mask. I'm not expecting to win though; two days to go, and it's almost at my max bid already.
Not a huge deal though. There's plenty of other masks to choose from, should I be outbid.

Used a sheet metal bender to make the exterior of 10 windows and then pressed 48 feet of trim. I have another 42 feet to go tomorrow and then I will probably be working on gutters. Did I mention that I never used a bender before? THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

Transcribed my wife's book into ebook format - a three week process in the wonders of xml.
Uploaded said book in ebook format to the distributor and Amazon (there are two versions - kindle and epub). a slight gah, the kindle version had to be dumbed down a little due to kindles not supporting current formatting available for epub files (tmi? sorry)
Brought in 2 1/2 cubic meters of mulch and compost for the garden (yay for really big pickup trucks). Added some new rows and abandoned an area (needs to rest for a bit). Spread a bit of fireplace ash on the beds (still workin' on it). Spread out a bit of the compost (still workin' on that too). There's going to be space for 10 tomato plants, peppers, eggplants, lots of herbs, potatoes, assorted root veggies, greens ... The compost will be quite a help along with some mystical substance to set off the wee organisms that will turn 110 sq. meters of granite sand into soil (in year three of the process)
my arms hurt ...

Went to class (Cognitive, social psych) aced a quiz in cognitive, Planted flowers with my little girl, played soccer as well. Got a knock on my door and the UPS man was there with the rifle stock my next SP gun project has been waiting on, and finally made fajitas and washed it down with a nice amber ale.
Good day me thinks.

I've picked up my technical pencil and started doing work on my architectural portfolio again. Something I've wanted to do for weeks but 'couldn't be bothered'... I think, if I can get it up to a certain standard, I might be in with a shout of getting back into University, at some future indeterminate point, and actually finishing the full five years' worth of sitting in lectures or in studios having the tutor's views indoctrinated into me (Not that I'll take any notice... oh wait I tried that apporach before and it got me nowhere...) I'm leaning toward an aesthetic style that suggests a stripped back Venetian Gothic/Vernacular Revival melding, with perhaps a dash of Sir John Soane thrown in. Which could prove interesting...

I'm slowly but surely making progress on my essay at last. I still have at least 1000 words to write, but at least what I have written is vaguely intelligent now!

Not really, aside from keeping an eye on the house while the 'rents were out of town, and finishing the art for an answer on my Transformers character's Ask tumblr.....
Though since it's technically a new day, I'm going to be working on my jacket for a bit while I also work on another answer.

1 manifesto launch, 3 TV interviews, 1 radio interview, a press release and a hustings with the lovely ladies and gents of the Federation of Small Businesses in Scotland.
whether any of that produces even one extra vote, no one but no one can tell, but I feel good about it all so that is productive, right?

Took the symbols test for hydraulic schematics today. (I fear I didn't do all that well, but they're letting us take the test again if we didn't get it right this time.) Also found out that I got a 95 or so on the test from last thursday, which was a pleasant surprise. (This class is my first time back in school in I don't even remember how long, so I'm still feeling pretty lost )

Went to a car boot sale, picked up a clock ~ that turns out didn't "just" need a new battery Spent a lot of the afternoon looking at the heap of sewing stuff on the sewing table going "gah?" Spent a lot of the evening looking at the heap of important stuff on the paperwork table going "gah?" Then made a bag. So today has had ONE productive outcome, at least.

Got the keys to our new house. Massive house with massiver garden and its own woodland and right in the heart of southside Glasgow. we are very very excited. There is a garag to be our workshop, what unbelievable luxury.
Previously everything had to be done on the dining room table, now everyone will be able to have the space to do admin, project work, glue gunning, tinkering, sewing and even eating, without having to shift everything every single time.
If yoiu are a glasgow steampunk, keep an eye on GUeSS facebook for pre renovation housewarming party.

Wow greensteam, sounds like you have a great place there. I hope the move goes smoothly.
I've done nothing productive yet today but I am just about to go and check out my local Edwardian swimming pool which just re-opened. I'm very excited because It's been closed for a couple of years and I was worried it was shut for good. It'll be good to get back there, after all it's where I learned to swim =]

I've only been mildly productive today ... just finishing up a few bits before holiday.
As for the weekend ... we finished up the composting of the gardens, planted potatoes, fertilized the perennials. We've gone through 4 cubic meters of the composty stuff (actually nicely aged cow poo from the local organic dairy). Can't do the big planting 'till the end of May though ... it's been known to freeze hard for no apparent reason in May. We may well plant a lawn this year ... a wee one (a 600 sq. ft patch within 10 acres!!) ... nice smooth lawn for the playing of Croquet.
