Productive? I think so if slightly indirectly. A friend who owns a little workshop had some jobs he needed to do, but felt very tired and unwell. I talked with him and drank tea and watched and admired his work- I have never turned a left hand taper thread myself, or milled a gearwheel, so watching him do these things was an education.
And by being there and being a mate I helped him keep going until the important stuff was done.

Cycled 19 Cornish* miles today on my trusty velocipide Agatha, right through the heart of the classic Cornish landscape **. The trip was very productive with many mines visited and several good sulphide mineral ores collected for our smelting attempt in March, including a gorgeous veing of bluey-purple something (Sphalerite or Wolframite probably).
Downside: Cornish miles are even longer when your backpack is full of rocks.
Time to retire for this eve.
Maeg.
*Like regular miles, but longer, with more hills. ** For Cornish landscape see Victorian industrial wasteland and Arsenic contamination and remediation.

As a fellow mine explorer I hope your samples came from surface tips and not from the underground environment! (I *could* say something about "mineral collectors" but this is a forum populated by gentlefolk!!)

Aye indeed good sir. I found the extensive wasteland around Poldice mine very productive. I am an undergraduate with Camborne School of Mines, hence the need to collect cornish ores for a demonstration we will be running at King Edward mine (Troom) next year.
Kindest regards from the dark depths,
Maeg.

I am currently working out *exactly* how I'm going to "explain" to my crew what I expect of them-the past two days, I've caught nothing but flack, attitude, bad temper, and resistance at every turn.
Fact is, they've got it EASY compared to the other guys there-hell, they've got it easy compared to ME! I buy them their food and drinks, I let them off *most* days around lunch... And they mess up my ratchet straps, backtalk me, and in general make my life a pain.
This all changes upon the morrow.
No more Mr. Nice Guy-I told them day ONE, that I'm easy going as hell, not hard to get along with at all-but, like Sosa told Tony, "Don't Ever F*** Me."

I posted something on Etsy and worked on organizing my library. Not much, but impressive if you consider the fact that I was coughing up blood this morning.

Didn't your doctor tell you to keep taking your Anti-Zombie pills? Seriously, coughing up blood is NOT a good sign. Hope you are okay.

Yeah, not good. Finally got around to putting the chain (featuring an old skeleton key and a St. Christopher medal) on the pocket watch I got 2 months ago...I know...I've been slow to getting to it. The watch itself is Swiss made from most likely before the 1940's. The movement is beautiful and you can't even hear it when its running unless you put it right next to your ear and listen hard.

Made into work and gave the boss a piece of my mind. Well, okay, he had already left for the day but it still felt great to rant and rave in his office. (My co-workers are used to my antics--they've had 12 years of it.)

15 PAGES....my mind is going insane. The "steampunk" part of the screenplay has only begun in the last...10....or maybe 8. I'm not sure. I just know considering the main character is a homicidal maniac who has Shelley poems memorized, it shall be a fun ride.

Not really unless you count 3 loads of dishes, making 3 meals, baking bread & an apple crisp as productive. That'smore day-to-day kind of crap.
I don't really.

Anything productive TODAY? Nah and not for over a week.
Ghastly week, firefighting accelerating crises not of my own making but the buck stops with me so no alternative but to grit teeth and wade into the fray. Seemingly endless succession of gaaaaaaaaaah, wtf etc.
Where is the working raygun or timeturner when you really need them?

Fitted a new waste trap 'U bend' type thing to my bathroom sink as the old one threw a 7 this morning. The horrid gunk and clag that was in the old one, urgh. I'm not going to be biting my nails today.

Only if you won. And at the same time. As a matter of fact the answer is yes to both. I have to admit though, it was tricky cooking the eggs and making sure the raid didn't backfire into the pan. XD
