Went to the job interview and did excellent. Awaiting a call tomorrow or a day after. Form is being transfered to Testronic Laboratories, job pays well for Polish standards plus I have no need to pay bills and buy food Smiley life tastes great!

I'm finishing up one project and getting ready to start another.  At some point, all of this will lead to some basic monetary compensation  Cheesy

In other news from the Birdnest.
Added another step to the entry path.
Spread a bit of bat poo to jump-start some of the challenged plants (after all, we just got summer last week)
Cleaned up all of the tree parts (we are all encouraged to thin out the bug-kill trees from our groves).  Just a bit more thinning and trimming and the front 4 will be done.
Fixed the shed door from the bear break-in ... fortunately, not too much damage.  Stupid bear.
Pulled up loads of bad weeds (invasive non-native) and trimmed the good weeds (a.k.a. wildflowers).
Watched explosives with the grandkids.

Wrote a couple of thousand more words for my dissertation; the last few days though it feels that it's just going in one sad, slow and pointless circle.

Found out how easy it was to reregister myself as the inheritor of my late parents' publishing house (Crampton-Moorhouse) and its associate unused ISBNs.

Now all I have to do is finish one or more of the books I have started writing and actually publish something.

More ambitiously, I also sent off a proper book proposal to a proper publishers (Routledge)

-worked (register duties, with some extra things done - putting bills in envelopes and posting them, running around the park doing errands, those type of things)
-done laundry 3 times after I got home from work

much, much more productive than is expected of me in summer holidays. But unfortunately, I am somewhat a workaholic and like it this way XD

Spent three hours on my dissertation, and got it to a total of 10,800 words thus far.  Updated my Cv and printed a couple of copies of it to take to a graduate jobs fair tomorrow.  Had a bit of a rethink for my dissertation on how I can use all of my accrued data and research but reconsider the points I'm making about said evidence so that it doesn't range too far or too lightly over the subject.

"Have we done anything productive today?"

Does reading Sherlock Holmes at work count? Or walking along with two tours through the caves afterwards?
I didn`t even properly cook, just heated up something frozen and added some extra vegetables.

*sigh*. No. I guess I have not done anything productive today. Now I feel guilty about that. )= .

Over the last week, I have fixed some CSS problems with different browsers, got someone's settings transferred from an iPhone 3 to an iPhone 4, tested a newsletter, plagiarised some text so that there was some content to look at, watched The Inbetweeners, chatted a lot and read books. Not including what I did outside of work hours.

Let's see. I've managed to write all of one paragraph for a writing project (at this rate the predicted completion date is a few hours after the end of time) and spent the past five-six hours ranting at my computer trying to figure out how to replicate a simply stunning visual effect in photoshop. I have figured out the smaller parts, but the main, important bit still eludes me, and it's been driving my insane(er)...

I put in a job application today!  (I am already employed, but I'm looking for one closer to home; my current one is quite a long drive from my house.)  I might do more job searching in a bit... currently, Minecraft calls...

Washed the dishes for my mom, finally got around to watching The Pianist (brilliant!) and wrote my college essay.

Not bad, I think.

Revenge can be oh-so-sweet, Xenos  Cheesy  I'd say it's productive!

I've now gotten my essay up to 19,200 words.  Only 800 to go to the 20,000 'ideal' mark.  I think I can string out a conclusion to that length (my 'idiot draft' conclusion runs to 998 words.)

And then next week I start the fun all over again, getting one (or maybe two) final drafts in before mid-August.

I beat the worst hangover I think I've ever had, and made the desicion to sober up (barring special occations) entirely.  Turns out rot gut's not so good for my health issues.

So, pretty much with the exception of Feb 14, April 16, 21, 25, June 18, July 4 and 9, Sep 11, and New Year's Eve, I will not be drinking anymore.

...

Probably.
