Phoned / emailed almost every Japanese Akita Inu breeder in the country (many of whom turned out to be American Akita breeders, annoyingly).
Also began to look into the costs of 'securly' (ie: installing isolationistic generic crap) fencing in the rear garden while A: Preventing generic lap boarding overload, B: Not pissing off the neighbours and C: not killing off/stunting all the veg and other plants currently loving the not-shading 4ft wire mesh fencing.

Yes, I think so. I am writing this with the aid of my "new" desktop. I claim it is steampunk but it is not brass, has no cogs or wood stuck to it but does adhere to the ethics of recycle and re-use. On the outside it claims to be a Hewlett Packard Pavilion with an Intel P4 and Windows XP. Inside it has an Intel i3 running Windows 7 and doing it all very quietly! OK, maybe not steam (yet) but I feel kind of productive knowing I haven't thrown out all those useful components and by adding a few new ones I have an up to date machine at minimum cost. *smug*

I had a meeting with some friends this morning, where we discussed the trials and tribulations of our latest essay. And speaking of that, this afternoon I sat down and wrote another 1500-word draft for it (well, 1650-word draft to be pedantic). And- success!- it has finally become a piece of work I'd be pleased to identify as my own.

Nothing useful yet, but getting ready for my nephews to come over for a playdate, then an afternoon of taking everything out of my closet, and either keeping, mending or adjusting for weight lost, or sending to the thrift store!

Extremely productive ... In an engineering / construction office, plans, paper, bits and pieces of dead and obsolete computers, dust and more dust accumulates. And it was an impressive sight to behold (as I hold up a mainboard from a 486-66). It took most of the day, but the papers have been rendered into useful BTU's, the spare parts have found their way to the appropriate recyclers ... including a few special bits to me for an ongoing project (to be revealed soon) - and the dust has been returned to the garden from where it was born. I forgot that our desks are a lovely marble green! No more clutter, no more dust!

Not yet. But collecting my wages later, and ridding my life of some of those less useful and pleasant people. Oh, and I have a driving lesson in about an hour.

Not a damn thing. Nor do I really plan to, either. BG is back up, I'm going to have a shot of absinthe (I take it straight...), catch back up on the board, and then probably hammer out another few words for NaNo...
I DO need to start work on that bloody Card Deck Display Case I'm going to build...
AND finish my goggles (just need to find the right nuts and bolts! Harder than I thought...)... So it's not like I CANT be productive.
I just choose not to!
I DID (yesterday) apply for a new job! Assembly, with a lawn equipment joint. I HOPE I get it!

Spent this morning in a coffee shop talking about our course. This afternoon has been an amalgam of research for a presentation I have to give, research for an essay I have to write, and contacting the local Council Conservation Department about a part-time archival internship vacancy.

Wrote some new lyrics! Am excited quite a bit, and feel as though I should share them with you guys:
Currently Untitled Song About Going Mad (Possibly going to call it "Alone," dont know yet)
I'm not broken-I'm just a little bit off my game I'm not crazy-But I think I'm going insane
I need to get through this hell I feel so alone-Wont you give me a Hand...
I feel my heart-Is breaking You see my hands-Are shaking
(Interlude)
I need to get through this hell I feel so alone-Wont you give me a Hand
(Interlude)
Please come and hold me now I'm falling down Again Again Alone
So that's my being productive today. The rest of the day is to be spent doing absolutly JACK! I need a break from reality for a while, so, yeah...
Anyway, hope you guys like them, I plan to TRY and work the music out a little later (when I'm in town tonight), and maybe get it all recorded in by the end of the year.

My Sunday is being unusually productive, but then again that's because I'm doing everything I usually do on a Saturday.... which wasn't done yesterday because I was on a jolly day out with coursemates.

Well I've boxed up all but one present set . I only have a few friends I see regularly enough to actually give/recieve gifts to/from. I'm crap at wrapping presents so I buy a smallish gift box, and they all get 3 gifts in the box, either a LUSH product ( usually a bathbomb or bubble bar ) or jewellery , some sort of cosmetic product ( eyeshadows set or something like that) and some little luxury chocolates from Hotel Chocolat Charlottes eyeshadow kit won't fit into the box so I've had to wrap that (grr) and stick it on the top with sparkly xmas tape I just have one more box to buy and get 1 more gift for.

When it comes to gifts, I rarely give to anyone who isn't mum, brother, or partner unless I am told to (Rosemary! It's your 89 year old great auntie's birthday next week, don't forget a card!) or it is someone I a) value highly b) will be seeing on the day c) am reminded sometime before d) have something in mind to give. I have well over 1000 friends on facebook, if I bought or made a gift for everyone, I would have to give up my job!
I feel like making and doing today. I want to finish my bag, sew up my lace sleeves commision, maybe even buy some sandpaper and strip my old desk. I fancy painting it eggshell blue..........

I finished making a birthday present (the third this month, one more to go...I hold Valentine's Day responsible) this morning. It involved accidentally inhaling fumes, but at least that's done. If I were a more forgiving person I'd be making another for a birthday party tomorrow, but as the girl in question hasn't invited me despite talking to me yesterday, I think she can do without. Since then I've been working on a commission, with only three more to go for the year and then I can work on more interesting things.
