Builders in to overhaul our swinging casements have magically managed to lose our bathplug last week and thermos stopper this week so I have been glueing and whittling a mass of wine corks to replace the stopper. Glue gun has somehow sprung a leak at the side resulting in unexpected burn to finger.
Oh Joys.

I'm glad to say I was somewhat productive today! The DH and I are having a ceremony to renew the vows (since we eloped when we got married, our parents were more than miffed. XD This will be an actual wedding, dress and tux and all--AND I managed to talk the DH into tails and a top hat XD if only I could convince him to go with a cane...) I got all my invites stuffed and addressed today! *pats self on back*

Course, I myself will not wear a tailcoat... No, I prefer the mandarin collar look (works for my wedge shaped face), and I'm YET to find a tophat that looks well on me... Ah well, it is what it is!

Thank you, Xenos! This is our first aniversary, and we thought we'd set the bar high for celebration...lol. Poor DH is doomed for the future. You know, you could write a new chapter of Dockside Nights and send it to me as a wedding gift...

I expect to have quite a bit done by the first of march (I sent you an email outlining my current situation), so you SHOULD have something by mid march, latest!

The past few days have been the most unproductive of the last month and a half. It was killing me, so I cleaned my apartment today after S went to the gym. Did laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, loaded the dishwasher, vacuumed, and cleaned up the dining room table. He's cooking for me now and won't let me help. I think he's afraid that I'm going to burn the place down. I'm on a roll today! I wanna heeeeeeeeelp!

I made a gallon pot of tea. It has 3/4 cups of sugar. It is now sitting in my freezer, as I lack any ice to pour it over. I feel accomplished!

Taught two classes of 7yr olds how to boil an egg properly, by showing them what a raw egg is like, then boiling six eggs and taking one out at a time at minute intervals and cracking them open to observe the innards. Very scientific! Then went for a two mile jog/walk as part of the New Year plan to get fit and lose some lard, in order to be able to fit into military gear a little better, rather than looking like I've been poured into it.

A story of a friend of mine's (I wish I could claim it as my own!): Whilst staying in a Traveldge type of place for a stag do, they filled the bathtub with hot water and added a big bag of cheap economy teabags (the big 400 bag packs), threw in a bag of sugar and two pints of milk and made the world's biggest cup of tea. By all accounts it was pretty undrinkable.

designed, printed, cut, sanded, glued, drilled... soon to be wood burned, painted and finished a little fairy hello kitty wall clock today for somebody.
painted and assembled the parts to another wood craft project.
cut out and prepared to assemble some paper craft items I've had around.
Cooked my three meals for the day. planned to do a redecoration prank on one housemate while he goes away for the weekend.
That's it, unless you count goofing around on the net, which I've done a lot of.

I've gone and finished my first ever cross stitch. Drawn up a few designs for the next one bit here it is in a 3inch hoop. in case you cant tell it's a little top hat with goggles and a gold band. Or brass band *snksnk* Also drawn a few other fanciful designs up and made brownies.

Oh, and since I am posting here...no, I haven't. Not a darn thing today.

If you just showed me a picture of the choker, I could guess who made it, so far it is gorgeous and it is totally your colour, babe! I sold my Queen Victoria collar on etsy, and with the takings I bought some tiny top hats, two huge wall mounted candle holders and a 1970s button box! A good evening indeed

I bought a 'proper' cravat Me too! The wonderful westend up the Hillhead Bookclub holds these retro + craft fairs and I got a nice grey cravat and also a brown leather tie for son. I also picked up a great idea: ordinary ties made up into bow ties with a pin at the back.
