I've just had a 'peer review session'....

Which means we went to a coffee shop and had a chat for two hours  Cheesy

Upshot is, that everybo9dy thought my essay was pretty good.  And I got some useful feedback to act on before I have to submit it on Monday.

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Been packing the better part of the last 4 hours, and my day is just beginning too. Next few days will be loooooong. I have 3 days to finish getting this place ready for movers.  Undecided

So why am I wasting time here? Needed a break I guess.  Huh

That sounds like peer -review lite. Where I work peer review means heavy duty slagging off and everyone not speaking to each other for weeks.

What thing have I done today that was productive, well let me see.......

I gave joy to the 80's gaming generation with high resolution maps of the 8 elite galaxies in printable form;

take the "g" off the file name and you'll find the sleek black originals;

So yes, you could say I'm feeling pretty chuffed over my creative output today. As a self worth excise I would wholeheartedly recommend being a "Good bod" member of any forum (As I am on oolite). To be seen and known to be dynamically useful bolsters any psyche with downward spiral tendencies, amicably.

Went out into town with a friend, all steamed up for the first time. Got stopped by a few people and questioned.
Got a pocket watch and some brand new boots. Yum.

Um, yes.  After a fashion.
-Took on board the feedback from yesterday and have now COMPLETELY completed my first essay.
-Started to read material for the second essay.
-Bought a couple of hat pads to make my bowler fit better.

But I haven't had chance to
-Research medieval churches to visit for my third essay.
-Even contemplate starting a conservation area appraisal.
-Write more than 200 words for my second essay.

Plus I have a migraine, plus it is the weekend, which traditionally is when I do all my 'housekeeping', plus I feel like today has been wasted.  I am not a happy bunny at this juncture.

Arh.
Only 4 days till my Driving Theory, and so far I've done NOTHING towards it. Perhaps that should be the productive thing that I do this evening!  Cry

Finished packing the kitchen! Now I just have to finish the rest of the house which is mostly done already.

This is a big job! My advice is to not accumulate more stuff than you actually need. Don't be like us!

I've done some reading for one of my essays, ordered an autographed copy of Abeny Park's "The End of Days" and bought an evening cane off of ebay.  All in all, a very good, fairly productive day.

Stuck the goggles on to have a bit of fun with a Fire Stick. Singed some hair off my leg, that will teach me to play with fire.

We went to the annual Little Five Points Halloween parade..It's the area in Atlanta that's the "funky freaky" area..I was wearing my newly made blue leather top hat, with a blue lace adorned jacket..I escorted one child dressed in a tiger outfit and one in a karate uniform.Then on the way home, we all went shopping a the local Walmart dressed like that.. Productive in that the kids collected a LOT of candy, and I got to weird out people at a Walmart.

Worked on getting an Ubuntu server all sorted out, thinking about buying a domain name instead of just taking my father's one.

Been to our storage unit to deposit boxes of old photies and get bag of tools out. Almost done the accounts for the charity I chair. Just going out to dig the week's tatties in the garden.

cleaned out the garage to give me room to start work on restoring two vintage bicycles; went for a run; started work on Himself's Victorian caped overcoat. Am now sipping a glass of wine while watching the Dukes of Hazard and feeling all virtuous...

I have made different jellies (jellos?) for every member of my family, as we are a picky bunch Roll Eyes. The fridge is now very crowded but colourful.

I had a good day yesterday, despite doing an 11 hour shift. I was the only person to sell anything, and made a healthy £660, and went well over every target set. By myself. By the time I gt home I was tired but happy, had a long soak in the tub and a fairly early night. I hope today goes well too Smiley
