A friend did that to me once ("Don't open that!" "Why not?" "It's full of glitter." *explosion*). The carpet never recovered.

Tonight's productivity took the form of two sketches for my assignment, though I had planned to do a few more and check with my remaining designer to see if they were even worth doing. This is what you get for being a nocturnal worker.

Ran some errands and spent about an hour and a half building a stand out of Legos for my new iPod. Looks kind of like a lounge chair... Undecided But it'll do until I get a dock for it.

Well, I'm learning Windows 7...  Buggy at best...  Shitty Downright useless at worst...  Ah well, my cross to bear.  At least I've got a really nice new computer!  So life is good on that front.

Also playing around with my shiney new RC-50 Loop Station...  'S a bit of a pain, since I, ah, I've never used a looper before, and this one is...  Well, it's powerful, yes (almost 20 min of loop time?  HELLS YES!), but with great power comes great resp learning curve, and there's a WHOLE LOT of buttons and knobs I'm scared to mess with (no books or papers with it, second hand).  I'll get it figured out probably by the weekend, and then I'll be all set for some FUN FUN FUN!

I've put my blog up as a candidate for syndication via kindle.

...though I still have to figure out what content if any should be removed due to being of fanficcy nature.

I just finished a 16 page art guide for an assignment. I couldn't think of what bit of concept art to use for the cover, so I threw in something irrelevant but in a similar style. It was either that or sketches of my teammates, with one of us as a viking  Roll Eyes
So that's most of one assignment done, three to go. By next week. Eep.

Currently diving one of my cats nuts with an iPod app that makes cat noises. My other cat is completely ignoring it.

So, no, we're not being productive today.  Grin

Sort of productive. Friend visited with heat sink for electronic controller for trike, gave me details how to install it, then said 'but if you mount the board I've made you in the aluminium box you have from the [disabled] buggy you don't need the heat sink, bolt the transistors to the box'.

Good to know, wish I'd known sooner. So that is a step in the right direction.

Finally figured out what this song is I keep hearing at work...  "Eet" by Regina Spektor.  LOVE that song!  In fact, I think I'll listen to it for the 900th time since I figured it out!  *toddles off*

Lesse. I've applied to most of my courses for next year, and am about half-way through writing my writing sample for the creative writing course. Also, I decided that I am, in fact, a god.

I spent a very enjoyable morning with five of my fellow historic conservation students in a coffee shop in Oxford.  Postgraduate is so much more civilised than undergrad.  There's less of a competitive environment, less of a backstabbing culture.

Pixle art and GIFs of said Pixle art.  Not a bad haul for a couple hours worth of work, and not bad for my first time!

TOMORROW:  I hope to have left, right, and up sprites for the NCO and Second Lieuie.  I also hope to have the First Lieutenant's sprites, as well as GIFs for all of them!

I'm liking this pixle art stuff!  Cheesy

No.  As it happens, I have done NOTHING productive today.  I have, however, watched my beloved do productive things.  Does that count?

Somehow, despite working all day, I have managed not to be productive. I have animated 50 frames. Yes, that is 2 seconds. 2 seconds out of the 1:22 that are due next week, and that's just one animation out of two. FML.

It's too early for me to have been productive yet... but I'm going to be cramming for my French test in a few hours... joy.
Currently about to read the Sparknotes for Common Sense, and maybe make a little more kandi before class.
Oh, and it's not productive, but a few minutes ago I made the lid to my bottle of vitamins skitter across my desk and land in between the backs of two paper plates in my trash can. xD Unintentionally good aim ftw!

Erm... Productive... Ermmm...

. Helped a baby tetra not get eaten by Preggerfish.
. Had a driving lesson.
. Booked my theory test.
. Printed various things for Mother on a computer slower than she is.
. Prevented Baby Sister from having my poorly throat by refusing to be in the same room, or any room, that she will be in any time soon.
. Organised a local meet-up in a month or so.
. Shouted angrily at a video game until I was successful.

So yeah, seemingly productive.

I sat down and wrote the first 800 words of the second draft of a 1500-word essay due in a week Monday.  Unlike the first draft, the second actually makes sense and is readable  Cheesy
