Managed to write about a third of what I need to for an essay I have due tomorrow. Looks like I'll be pulling the long shift tonight.

I just divided the world between the British, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Ottoman, Japanese, German, Swedish, Greek, Mongolian, and Holy Roman empires.

Isn't there an EU directive expressly forbidding that kind of activity? I've road tested the first part of my jumper re-purpose and decide this phase needs no more doing to it to be a useful part of my wardrobe. And now I'm going to start phase 2!

How do you repurpose a jumper? The only thing I can think of is unravelling it and using the wool for something else - but I'm guessing that's not what you're doing?

I'm going to put up pictures in Anatomical when it's finished, but it's basically taking a jumper and making it wearable by my current standards..... I certainly wouldn't have the patience to unravel and re-knit, though I can knit and enjoy it in very small doses. I've lost count of the number of half started knitting projects I've got But I'm wary of talking too much about phase 2 in case it doesn't work - I might jinx it!!! Thanks for the interest though!

One of my designers just sent me this screenshot from our sidescroller "Quaintrellicide" prototype: I did the background and floor textures today, the furniture was yesterday. She doesn't have a knife yet, but she should by tomorrow. And I know, avocado sofas? That was his doing.

I completed one of the carriages for my 4mm to the 1' scale Victorian express train. That makes 2 carriages and a locomotive done, with... 5 more carriages to do. Although I have started the third now...

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Discovered that blogger as offered up static pages for mostof the year now (even though yu're only limited to ten pages... which nixes my idea of an archive of finished stories. Oh well.) So I've gotten a few of the preliminaries done there (might be temporary, might be permenent.)
On a less happy note i've discovered the laptop's got a USB plug that provides power, but apparently doens't do data... have to check for bent pins, since I kindof need that to transfer stuff from the desktop for web posting. Strange, worked yesterday... I hope I'm not the reason it's broke, not my laptop and all.

Mowed the backyard, made a run to Starbuck's, and watched OU kick FSU's butt 44-10. Yeah, a good day.

Started packing for uni, and began to "refit" (for this read, broke it apart, washed it, started to glue it back together again in between repainting it) one of my model destroyers.

I was proactive today and managed to get myself a job interview tomorrow. It's for the position of Arts Administrative Assistant, whatever on this good earth that may be, but it could be mopping floors for all I care - I just need money.

Tried to figure out why the apartment we didn't take hasn't given us our deposit back yet, wrote a blog post on Anglo Saxon food, took the kids to the park, picked up a very nice little (working) table clock at the thrift store, did a bunch of Moderator-related activity on a different forum, then jumped in the car, just in the nick of time, only to wait for ten minutes before I realized I needed to pick my husband up at his other job

I continued to wage war on insurance companies that are responsible for my Worker's Comp claim, trying to get backed pay for some of the time I've been out of work... I also RETURNED to work today for the first time in over 2 and a half months! 1500 piece truck, too... Oi, the RDC can shove it for all I care... They REALLY need to take more care in loading!

We had to go to our insurance office because they f'd up our house insurance. While we were there Darth Vader's theme started playing on the classical station they had on. I could not stop laughing.
