How on earth did you do the car at 54-55 seconds? Please tell me it's a model that can be bought from somewhere... *wants one*

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

I read "this youtube video thing" and expect something a little more simplistic. You have mislead me sir. However, you have more than made up for the insult with a very nice video! My productivity for the past few days has been in the kitchen. I have come up with 2 new recipes for Venison and 2 for Chicken. Ended up making an Italian/Cajun sauce tonight that my fiance fell in love with. Not sure how I am doing any of this. There have been no recipes, just gut instinct and past experience. To be honest I am actually kind of getting sick of good food. (and my modesty has been threatened because my fiance who is a picky eater has been actually stealing from my plate even after getting seconds.... )

I brought doorknobs for my new wardrobe, helped my dad put it together and finally finished painting my bedroom door. Mildly disgraceful that I left it with a smiley face and J+A (Josie and Ashley, cause we are that saddo couple) on it for 6 months! I then stained all the bits of the wadrobe that I'd forgotten to do/didn't think would show when it was flat packed =P My new wardrobe takes up 2/3 of the space of the old one, but holds exactly the same amout of stuff. It may be a TARDIS....
Might try to work on my thesis now... Ah who am I kidding?

So far, I have not been productive today. It's kind of nice now and then to have a non-productive day...sadly I've had a few to many non-productive days as of late. Hopefully I'll be getting a job soon and be more productive on a regular basis. Still, I have had quite a relaxing day today.

Phwoar! What a busy day...
Upholstered the bed headboard that I made last week, it's a nice fabric and it really makes the room look cozy.
Started roughing up 3d shapes as a base for bringing steampunk style content into Neverwinter Nights 2. A couple of test exports looked good.
Also made pizza, beating up dough is good for the soul.
Finally printed out the several dozen pages of application forms required to take the first steps on the path to becoming a policeman officer.

I was very productive today! Well, OK, that's only partially true...but it's only 7am so far! I was up all night (yey insomnia) and so I carved a watermelon. I've been working to learn garde manger (pronounced gar-ma-ge for anyone like me who doesn't speak French), and this melon is but a small stepping stone in the process...so, here are the pics: This was the finished project...Not bad for a first attempt IMHO... This is a close-up of the previous picture, with the original background. And this picture is what the melon SHOULD have looked like when I was done (if I was better). I touched it up in Corel Paintshop Pro X3.

I've just spent the better part of 30 minutes making minute (absolutely minute) alterations to a turning of plastic, paper, milliput and brass wire to make a fairly close replica of a Robinson chimney in 4mm scale. Something about 4.5mm tall and 6mm across... but it's done and doesn't need doing again... unless I lose it...

I read and made notes on 40 pages of a very convoluted textbook for my thesis.
I transcribed the inscriptions on some tombstones for the record I'm making of all of the graves in my local churchyard.
I typed up some old lecture notes
I am now going to start on the 4th round of corrections on my thesis introduction
What a dull sunday!

Well my fiance sold me off so we could have money to pay her car insurance......being a farm boy and having worked for a lawn and garden distributor I have a lot of experience in landscaping, so for the past 2 days I have been cleaning up a yard and mulching a garden. The clients were not expecting much, needless to say they were quite shocked by the end result. (and the car insurance got paid)

been hunting a virus on my computer for the last two weeks, it was a downloader so in itself was not really a worry, but the flurry of viruses that it kept installing were getting annoying. I threw every antivirus and removal tool at it that I could think of - nothing found. Turns out that it was something simple and very old school (no wonder the antivirals couldn't spot it). Basically it was a boot sector virus that despite being removed several times by me, would keep reappearing. the reason for this was simple - it was a modified windows start up which ran a script to write the file to the MBR during windows boot, and once in windows it was undetectable as it was finished (and not actually a virus as such). In essence it was a throwback to the old DOS batch script file viruses. Very retro! Finally got the little bugger about an hour ago, just spent that time getting things back in running order. Dumped the script, then jumped into recovery console and a quick 'fixmbr' and 'fixboot' to be sure it was gone, then started windows to see if it was still trying to play about with file associations and registry changes. Booted fine, no issues. Seems to have cleared it up. Thank f*** for that! Oh, and I spent the last few days tidying up my workshop / house. Workshop was getting bad, I was starting to have to climb over things to get to the kitchen. I now have a new desk setup for electronic projects, along with a new (old) computer (a freebie from a firm that recently upgraded systems - complete system with a 17 inch LCD monitor) which is a Pentium4 2.8Ghz, 1.5 gig RAM and a dual monitor setup (I upgraded the graphics card to one with dual outputs). Very nice for programing my AVR and MSP430 MCUs, and various other uses. SS

did a bit of work on my new purse (well what's going to be my new purse) current "sewing" project...My machine is on loan to a friend right now and I have no E6000 glue or hot glue currently so I'm using my glue dots for my scrapbooking/poetry portfolio final project for a class to adhere my fabric to the book. I need to trim up some edges, purchase the glue I do need to attatch my decorative ribbon, make and attatch the side pieces, and figure what I'm going to do for handles and a clasp.

3 friends and I attempted to work on a Steampunk youtube series. The filming was a disaster with focus issues and that for some reason I'd out of nowhere break into an Irish accent. Did post an experimental film I shot over the summer with my cellphone.... Hopefully tomorrow after a day of work I'll be able to come home and try again.
